June, anyone?

Any of you SoWallers besides jdarg planning a trip down in June? We'll be down, though we don't know our exact dates yet. LL, what about you?

I'm hoping we'll be in Dune Allen in June. Hopefully my new schedule will be a little more flexible so we can get down. Last year we were down from the 18th to the 25th I think. The weather and water was perfecto!

Looks like we'll either overlap with jdarg or you; we like to be there the 2nd or 3rd week in June, and I agree with you!
Do you always stay in DA?

We are usually down in june, but more likely the last week.
Kathydwells goes around that time.....I met her last year 😀

We are usually down the last week of June. However, in 2006 we will be down on July 8-15. Anyone else going to be there that week?

And I am going to be sad this summer because I will probably miss you. I hate that! I was looking forward to spending more time with you and your "group" in 2006!!!

But the truth is, my mind's on next summer's vacation, too. I've already signed up Alex, the college freshman son who's still not too grand to go vacationing with her parents, providing we take his girlfriend like we did last year (but we love her like a daughter, so no way we'd leave her behind!), and Fyl and one of her friends.

I even spotted a house in Grayton Beach that will fit the six of us and we're going to check out next week!

Now if the schools would come out with the 2006 schedule, I might even be able to pick a week. Will keep y'all posted.

We alway's book 2 days before we leave while we are down there. I got my confirmation in the mail yesterday!!!! I am so excited.

yeah baby...lots of kids!!!! mine are 12 and 10
but the rest of them range from 1 year to 18 years.
we are all pretty laid back, I dont drive 13 hours for nothing!!!
I like to be on the beach from dusk to dawn!!! first beer goes down around 10 am. :cool:

We've stayed in Dune Allen for as long as I can remember. We rent a place on Loon Lake Drive.

Ok, good well keep those July dates in your mind. I really, really wanted to be there in June, but you know what? Anytime is a good time in SoWal, IMHO. Girl, you had LARGE group, I know you had a good time, but it had to be tiring for you. How is KTCHRIS?

She is doing good, very busy at work and not able to post very often.
She has to get her gall bladder out on Dec 27.....this is a continuing thing from vacation last year, do you remember she was in the hospital in destin most of our trip last June? she had the WORST vacation ever!!!!

I am glad she is doing ok. Tell her I asked about her. Yes, I remember she was in the hospital while you were there. I felt so sorry for her. I had my gallbladder removed last year. The recovery was not as bad as I had expected. She will have a Great time this year!!!!!
