The Seaside event is a 5K and half marathon, and I am entering the latter, even thought the 5k may be more my speed. The race day is set for the morning of Mar 4.

yes you could. I was just talking about running this morning and it has me thinking about getting going, but not during the winter!

If you do it properly, a standalone 5K's a nasty distance- short enough that you're red lining the effort, and long enough for that red line to really hurt. The only time I've dry heaved during a race was during a 5K.

Train properly, and the half marathon actually hurts less.

So true you two!!! I will for go the $500 shoes for time spent with my sowallers. Problem is I get caught, cuz the whole fam is using the time. I feel like I am in a race and I don't type fast and it is now getting stressful...OMG...HELP!!!
