We didn't go out this year. We stayed home with the kids and watched the Stars lose (my son insisted and we do love hockey) and then we played some games and watched a movie that the kids picked out. We did have some awesome food from Central Market and many glasses of champagne!! I think the kids had a great time just hanging out and that's what really mattered tonight! I'm sure we assisted in waking up the neighborhood at midnight! We saw some fireworks down the street and heard others yelling and partying around the neighborhood. It was a Happy Mellow New Year for us this year!!!!! Alright 2006!!!! Bring it on!!!!!

We both woke up yesterday feeling somewhat like we'd been run over by a semi! Head, throat, queasy, yuck! We also had to attend a memorial service for a friend that passed away suddenly.
We got to the hotel and met up with the rest of the group. Visited with everyone for a while, took a nap, downed Sudafed and asprin and went to the party. We managed to make all the way to 12:02 wished each other Happy New Year, and anniversary (#26 today!) Then fled to the door and took the shuttle back to the hotel and died. Hopefully, we will be able to nap and take it easy and plot our way to SoWal for next NYE!!!!!!

I have a pretty small house too. It was great and without incident until this morning when my kitchen faucet broke and water shooted up to the ceiling and all over the floor and cabinet. Happy New Year! The joys of home owning and being single. Now to Home Depot for a kitchen faucet which a friend of mine will install tomorrow. So much for cooking the greens and blackeye peas. Now I will go join some other friends who are cooking the traditional New Year's feast. Hope everyone has a great day and a great 2006! :wub:
