Undercurrent Bulletin Board

Hey W.U. -- I might be interested in registering (can't get enough SoWal), but think it's only fair that we be able to view the message board first to see what's going on. I guess you have figure whether you want it to be more of a private club or something that's open to all. The last thing I want to do is send my email or name or any other info to someone without knowing what I am getting into. Open it up, please!

Memberships no longer have to be approved - I couldn't figure out how to turn that off until today. I'm working out the kinks and registration does require that you put in an email address, but if you're afraid I'm going to sell it to porn sites or turn it over the national security agency, just put in a fake one - they aren't verified. The only time I might use them is if the undercurrent is updated, so if you aren't interested in knowing that, put whatever you want. Since I'm not selling anything, you're not likely to hear from me.

It is just supposed to be fun.

As to the type of people it will attract, well if you're familiar with the undercurrent - people seem to either love it or hate it. I imagine the board would attract more of the type that love it, and if you think those people are "weird," well, there you go.

Thanks jdarg. I'm not going to do a lot of moderating, but I'll do enough to keep things from getting out of hand.

I like the wierd humor on WU's site. Not sure that I will be a regular poster there, but I signed up just in case. I am uncertain if the entire bb is going to be fiction like the rest of the site. If so, it could be really funn. " WU -- Where the truth is never spoken." I get confused because the restaurant reviews seem to be legit, but the entire site is fiction. What I am to post???
