Not creative, but I throw chickens in the crock pot all the time. Tonight I pulled it out, saved some, and shredded the rest into some Indian cooking sauce. Turkey breasts do well too. And soups.

I usually just throw this one together on the stove - yummy and full of fiber!

1 can black beans
1 can dark red kidney beans
1 can light red kidney beans
1 can Rotel tomatoes
1 can diced tomatoes
1 can corn ( I always use two cans of corn)
1 pkg dry Ranch mix
1 pkg taco seasoning
2 cups of water (I usually only add one. Such a daredevil!)

I rinse all the beans, throw everything in a pot and yummm! Top with sour cream and/or cheese. In fact, it is for dinner tonite.

If you do a search, "crockpot", you'll find some threads on favorite recipes and there are some crockpot recipes on at least one of those threads. I submitted the gumbo one and there's a good chicken with stuffing one as well that I got on this thread and made for the family. I also buy minestrone beans (sometimes in a mix) and make an excellent minestrone soup. I also make chicken soup and pasta sauce in ours. There are a lot of recipes online for crockpots.

I couldn't figure out how to cut and paste the recipe thread.

Sounds great!
Guess the gas factor wouldn't be any worse than chili, huh? My son loves to declare f@rt wars 😱

My son loves the fartwars- we are using that idea to convince him he that if wasn't so picky and would eat broccoli, chili, baked beans, etc., he would be truly "loaded" and dangerous!

This is definitely a recipe for him then...

It is sooo easy. The last time I made it, Monday nite, I omitted the Ranch (I didn't have any) and I almost liked it better.

Sometimes, I will wrap it all up in a tortilla stuffed with lettuce, cheese, etc.

Some of my friends add meat to it, but I like it without.

I'm getting ready to throw a bean soup together now- but he won't eat it. Cannelini beans, garlic, onions, fresh thyme, tomatoes...cross your fingers as I am winging this one!
