I am soooooo hungry

I need some ideas for some good lo-fat snacks. I've already lost some weight but I need new snack ideas. Don't want anymore carrots, celery sticks, fruit in a can, etc.

Y'all might have had a cart ramming incident and didn't even know it. It's easy to lose your cool when you're diet hungry. 😀

Thanks so much for the encouragement, KD and RO!!!!!

I have been a fatty most of my life. A few years back I lost 50 lbs. That actually got me too skinny (according to GB  ). I have never ballooned back up that big though. I rarely ever weigh. I just go by how my clothes fit and look in the mirror in the mornings  .

That's my Jewel.
I'm so glad to hear your back is better! That's an added benefit for sure!

Cute pix of your kids, I presume!

I had a feeling that was your Jewel. And yes, that was the kids last night. Guess I wasn't quite the Valentine scrooge I professed to be; I made them each their own little heart shaped pizza (followed by my own healthy dinner of shrimp, spinach and roma tomatoes with multi-grain pasta!)

Wow, LBH, I am very impressed! With your weight loss ( awesome!) and your heart shaped pizzas! Cute kids too!

My favorite snack when dieting is probably the suger free jello and puddings with Lite Cool Whip.

Thanks for the compliments! I'd forgotten all about the fat-free jello. Almost no calories. Nice guilt free treat!

But, what I REALLY love more than anything is popcorn with real melted butter on it!

Go have some at the Elk Grove movie theatre - although that's not exactly "real" butter, the last time my hubby ate popcorn there, he was sick all night. Now he's afraid to eat it again!

Maybe it was Real brand butter, like the Real brand cheese featured as Real Cheese on Dominoes Pizza.

OMG, isn't that the truth? That cheese has the strangest texture ever!

I'm trying to help and prevent you from eating something you'll regret. My intentions are honorable!

Congrats on that 60 pounds. Impressive.

I've added a few staples to my routine in the past year and it seems to have paid off (maybe even in the things the doctor checks like cholesterol and blood pressure which were fine but they were very fine last check up a month ago). I eat the whole oatmeal or an oatmeal muffin from the cookbook "In the Kitchen with Rosie" (Oprah's former cook). I put cranberries or rainens and lots of walnuts (good for you) in both. Sometimes flax, too. The muffins end up being about 100 calories, good for you, and somewhat filling. The muffins are small and dense (about half the size of regular muffins) and I usually have another snack in the morning, but they work for about 2-3 hours and they are so good for you. Also, I think peanut butter sandwiches on whole wheat bread is a good snack. I have copies of our 'In the kitchen with Rosie" cookbook at both of our cottage rentals, along with other cookbooks.

Instant oatmeal (I keep some instant oatmeal packs in the office and just add hot water sometimes)

Whole wheat wasa bread is great as a base for anything or as a quick snack by itself (about 30-49 calories).

Can of tuna fish

Greek no fat yogurt sold by Trader Joes -- it's amazing and I use some of that artificial sugar it's rich, creamy and about $3-$4 a package (about 3 servings).

Paula- my doc told me about the yogurt, and she gave me this recipe. She has always looked like a million bucks. No white sugar, white flour, and always low fat.

I'm not a huge yogurt fan unless it is custard style and tastes more like pudding, but I liked this OK-

16 oz. container of plain low fat yogurt
1 tsp. vanilla
2 T 1/4 Splenda, or to taste

I mix this up, and eat it plain or with blueberries
