Jello shots occur on every other Tuesday but only on odd days..OMG..that would mean tomorrow...I better get the jello jiggling...what to put in them???? :idontno: rasberry jello with gand marnier, tequila & lime jello, cherry jello with peach schnaps??/...decisions decisions
^5 girlfriend. I am the jello shot purveyor in my social circle and have all my recipes in a word doc. My favorite is the cosmo; cranberry jello with vodka and Grand Marnier. Or maybe the pina colada; pineapple jello with coconut rum. I think I even have a recipe for a rum runner but I'd have to look that one up.

Ok - twist my arm - here's my secret jello shot recipes:
Jello Shots:
First of all, I recommend using a 4 cup (or larger) clear plastic measuring cup. That way you can mix them and pour right into the little cups. You will also need another smaller measuring cup for the liquor. For all the recipes, I use the small packages of Jello. Start with 1 cup of boiling water in the big measuring cup; add the Jello and stir until it?s all dissolved. Then add the liquor and pour into cups. Refrigerate & serve (takes about 4 hours for them to set.) Each batch makes approximately 20 shots if you are using the 1 oz. clear cups. I think we found them at GFS Marketplace, but they probably have them or something similar at Sam's Club or Costco.
Basic Shots:
Any flavor jello (watermelon, orange & berry blue work well)
1 cup vodka
Pina Colada:
Pineapple Jello
1 cup coconut rum (Malibu, Parrot Bay, etc.)
Margarita:
Lime Jello
? cup tequilla
? cup Grand Marnier or triple sec
(Suggestion: make a double batch using lime & lemon jello for more authentic color!)
Cosmopolitan:
Cranberry Jello
? cup vodka
? Grand Marnier
(Suggestion: substitute a little Rose?s Lime Juice for part of the liquor)
Sex on the Beach:
Peach Jello
1/3 cup Chambord
1/3 cup Coconut Rum
1/3 cup Midori melon liqueur
Rum Runner:
Strawberry Banana Jello
1/3 cup blackberry brandy
1/3 cup Captain Morgan or Myers Rum
1/3 cup Bacardi 151 Rum
(Suggestion: substitute a little Rose?s Lime Juice for part of the liquor & add a few drops of blue food color to make it more purple ? then you can tell it apart from the Cosmo?s)

Well, lets see how much it's going to cost to fix our cracked foundation and then I can see if the hubby will let us spring for a real vacation this year. Truth be told that was the EXACT week I had in mind - my kids last day of school is the 9th. I also don't want to wait until July or August and deal with, well you know - that evil word that starts with an H and ends with an E and has a URRICAN in the middle.

I am printing these recipes as I type! They all sound great! I don't quite remember the last time I indulged in these jiggly little delights, but I'm told I had quite a good time! :idontno:
