The purest of true sports!!! I hope that a few insane parents don't spoil it and the PC police don't take all the competitive and drive to excel aspects out.
These kids exhibit the very best in the American spirit and can learn incredibly valuable lessons. Let's leave them alone and....PLAY BALL

What is PC? And, yes they are very pure - maybe that's what is so delightful to see. Great athletes!

Me too! I was watching Mexica and Canada in the LL World Series on ESPN at the gym yesterday and these kids are amazing! Canada even had a girl on their team!!
My 5 year old cousin played Tball this summer and they were just darling! The crazy parents (usually the momma's) are the only drawback!!

PC= Politically Correct
A trend that wants to make everything fair, equal and just to all by suppressing thought, speech and practice in order to achieve that goal.
I enjoy watching it also, Warner Robbins, GA always has a great team and they are looking very strong this year.
My brothers played Little League and it brings back fun times watching them at the local ball park.

PC is "politically correct". Also, since I can't PM you, I want to thank you for this thread. It brings back some wonderful childhood memories---not so much of what I did on the baseball field, but of both my parents. I'm sure I'm not alone on this, so thanks again Lynnie

Wooo! I know the feeling. Anytime someone mentions Amazing Grace, chills go down my spine and my sweet Grandmother's face is front and center!
I forget about Little League Baseball until like yesterday, I was painting and noticed it was on......I always get excited with how exciting being in their World Series must feel like for them. Their young comraderie is as you succinctly noted, pure! I see their drive to excel of their own fruition and I hope it remains that way.
What position did you play, ClintClint?

I played pitcher and third base for a team in Sandy Springs. My Dad was one of the Coaches and we won the Atlanta Metro Championship at Bagley Field in Buckhead (off Pharr Rd.)

Have y'all seen that kid on the California team that looks like he's at least sixteen, if not in college? 😱
and the little normal-sized twelve-year-old pitching to him?
ShallowsFuzz adores the Little League playoffs too...and while our kids would have never made national news, I remember several years of hot days and humid nights at Helen McCall Park. I always thought football was the "uncouth" sport. But there is nothing like Little League to make a bunch of parents show their collective arses...:cool:

I hope there's not someone violating the rules. There was one a few years ago who was too old.......it really broke all of our hearts.
Hopefully, the kids (of the arse parents) are embarrassed and telling the others to not listen to their parents......... ;-)

We watched the Japan vs. Saudi Arabia game at Hurricanes. One kid was 13 6' 2" and 233lbs. Probably the most interesting part were the number of girls on the Saudi team.
