To iPhone or not

I've wanted one because they are so cool also. Can anyone give me an idea on the cost plus the monthly cost?

You may want to wait until AT&T gets their feces coagulated, before buying an iPhone, if you are in South Walton. The switch over to the 3G towers is causing many iPhone users to receive delays in emails and texts.

Picking up my iPhone today. Whooppeee. Being away with no laptop for two weeks, I realized that having this little dandy might have really come in handy. Hey, I'm a poet and didn't know it.

My Verizon contract expired 8/25 and I am headed to the AT&T store in 30 minutes!! I share your excitement.

I finally broke down and got one after putting my razor through the wash. The iPhone is truly an addiction. I go into withdrawl if I go to the beach and leave it in the car. I must click and slide the apps hourly just to be sure they are all still there. Did anyone update anything on facebook? Gotta know right now!!! OH AND BOOKS..I've always wanted to read the Island of Dr. Moreau and now I am doing that while waiting in line or for appointments.

I do love the text message setup because you can keep track of your conversation. As a firm believer in better parenting through text messaging, this has been a great tool.

I love, love, love my iPhone, but hate AT&T more every day. We need to band together and complain to Apple and see if they will release it to another provider.

iphone is number four in sales, behind, BlackBerry, Blackberry and Blackberry phones. That is primarily due to iPhone being limited to AT&T and BB being available on many providers.

The last several months during this 3G tower change, I've been receiving emails and text msgs from iPhone users on a delayed basis, sometimes as much as 24 hours after being sent. Many people around here love their iPhone, but hate AT&T. I still like my BB better because I cant type on an iPhone very well. I do like many of the applications which are available for it -- some really cool stuff.

Tread lightly with the Facebook....I have a bunch of neighbors/girlfriends who were the best of friends -- until they all got on Facebook. Now there's so much hate flying around here it's unbelievable. Luckily, I missed out on that funn, I never friended my neighbors...too much closeness for my taste.

There is a cool app for iPhone that allows you to hold the phone up to the night sky, and it will show you which stars you should be seeing -- needs a little tweaking, but really cool.

As some of you know I'm a biiiiig talker, but am so addicted to my iphone it is ridiculous! Not just the talking and texting, but games and apps. Some apps you must get:

*Tipster-a tip calculator that will also split ticket between parties

*30-A- no explanation needed!

*Drinks Pro-seriously a bar book! funn! funn!

*Flixter- movies, use your location to find all movie theatres and show times

*WunderRadio-radio stations around the country including weather, talk, local stations, sports, music, world

*Pandora-make your own music stations!

*Weatherbug elite-my favorite weather app

*Yelp-using your locaton get restaurant locations and reviews along with coffee/tea houses, banks, gas stations, drugstores and more

*Locater-using your location find sex offenders

*Google earth-y'all know what that is

*Stylish girl-(thanks anard) believe it or not you take pictures of your clothes and mix and match, make packing lists

I also have a few games and other apps, but the above are my favorites
