&%^$#! I was trying so hard to avoid the results then accidentally paged down on yahoo and saw it!!!! I don't even really care what happened, I just wanted to be surprised. :bang: I'll watch anyway but I think I might fall asleep instead.

i just really have been disappointed in the olympics this year. all this bickering and complaining, bode miller is a spoiled brat who needs his a$$ spanked, the speedskaters all need to go to the time-out chair. where are the good old days of dan jansen complaining because the ice was too hard, the ice was too soft, i couldn't sleep last night, the other guy tripped me blah blah blah. it's like my pop said last night : all right you losers - time to get real jobs and let your parents get out of the financial hole they are in ! 😀

I agree with you Audie. The whiny babies have really detracted fromt the athletes that are "true" Olympians- it seems sportmanship and athletic ability have been replaced by people that have more in common with Paris Hilton and her media loving type. Of course, I blame a lot on the media for focusing on the trash aspects of the Olympics- NBC should be spanked too. I tuned out a few nights ago- I was bored out of my gourd during the ridiculous coverage of the catfight between the Italian ice dancers. For every nice, behind the scenes story, there were 3 or 4 gossipy and stupid ones.

I started watching around 11 last night and saw the last group. I think Sasha Cohen was the most elegant and artistic. After she fell, twice, it was a beautiful performance. It was too bad but I think she handled it well. She didn't blame an injury or anyone else. :clap_1:

I loved the figure skating program last night. It's really tough under such pressure - even for the pros - they are so young!

Sasha Cohen was really fantastic, even with falls, and to win the silver is still such an accomplishment.

I just loved the Japanese gold winner - she was elegance on ice and perfection to my eye.

regarding the Italian pair skaters - what a$$holes! it was interesting to watch their silent battle before they performed, then their kiss and make up. But I was also thinking their behavior was appalling and unprofessional. Italians! what can I say - I am one!!! hot blooded and passionate, but those two were just embarrassing.
