I'll pass on the event, a little wild for me. (As jdarg, says lots of puking people) Tickets are hard to come by, so most college crowds hang in the infield. You have to sneak your party beverages in, or pay premium prices at the concessions.

I'll be glad to haul you around town if you need me to. I make a great designated driver. There must be a karaoke bar here somewhere.

Jessi- I need details. Derby is many things to many different people. You may want to search the archives and read Smiley J's posts- he has the most accurate infield descriptions. I see y'all in a box, and those are available now at uber-premium prices, unless you can get ahold of a bourbon heir and charm him. There are several balls and parties that I see y'all wrangling your way into. If you go the box route, start shopping now- you will need 2 outfits for Derby day- one for cold weather and one for hot. Along with 2 big f*&#ing hats to go with them. That is just for Saturday. If you go to the Oaks on Friday, repeat those options. I used to love the hoopla- but I was your age and had way more energy!! The thought of the derby outfit search makes me tic now!

If you go the infield route- any ol' casual tube top and cutoff will do. You will need to easily show your teets.

The Dargs will be having the annual spring planting day, where I will plant my containers, do yard work, and make a drink about 5 pm to start watching the Derby coverage. All are welcome. My best Derby was actually spent in Grayton- we pulled in just in time to watch Silver Charm take the race!!

you better come to town now and get busy.

Hey- tangent time - is DC at 331 or Seabar, or nowhere? And is John aka "Mr. Kill a Romantic Moment in 4 words" , livestreaming tonight? (Now THAT sounds kinda porno, huh?)

I think the infield has been calling their names. Take some garbage bags to wear as skirts or jackets, because the wind can make it damn cold in the muddy (pee-mud) infield :puke:.
Where else can you go and see girls waiting in line to pee in a urinal, sink, or against the exterior walls of a bathroom?

That's a pricey party, best get that heir charmed and locked down soon. I agree about the shopping for the outfits nightmare. I spent less time looking for my wedding dress.

Hey jdarg, I plant on Derby Day too. Do you go to Thunder? I love an event that takes me 4 hours to get home from. I swear I could walk home quicker. Except last year, hardly anyone was there. The ones that braved it were frozen. I speak from experience. At least there were shorter lines at the thunderpots.

We used to go to a great party in the original Highlands area overlooking downtown Louisville- great crowd avoidance! The last 2 years it has been cold and rainy - not good Thunder weather. This year we will be in Butchertown- my best friend bought an old house down there - it was made for a Thunder party! Derby Festival stuff is great- we ought to meet up at one of the events like Chow Wagon!
