Some things I think we will see:

An HD projector so that you can play movies and pictures very large.
Control all of your homes electronics and appliances from anywhere.
Start your car, car systems, and control your garage door, etc.
Video conferencing - live straming video to and from.
Take high-res photos and video and immediately edit if desired.
Wireless power charging, automatically.
Wireless subcutaneous speakers and microphone.
Remote wireless lenses for photo/video.
Mutliple player online gaming.
On-demand access for any book, TV show, movie, or video.
Immediate access to any reference material.

What would you like to be able to do?

I want it to clean my house and put away my laundry. Technology already does everything I want.............if I was willing to pay for it!

Don't feel bad, I had the same problem - thought I was turning it off, but was just putting it in "sleep mode".....................and then wondered why I never had any battery left.

You know how they say we only use a small percentage of our brains? I think the same is true for our electronics .................. at least the ones I own!

You think Apple could put instructions in the box for what you pay for one, huh? I got an iphone because the house was being remodeled and I was staying in Niceville without wifi or Internets and needed to stay in touch with work 24/7. So, of course, Apple has the user manual online.

I have to admit for not being a phone person, I'm pretty happy with my iphone, it's programs and the battery life.

Daddy-o, I'd like to see an iphone that can be tethered to a larger device. I understand it's being worked on, but that was my first disappointment with it. It should be able to be used as a modem/wifi device for your laptop if other forms of Internet are not available.

And while I'm complaining, the Xbox 360 should have a wifi built-in for their online service like the Nintendo Wii.

I'm actually glad they didn't do this. When I bought I got the 10 megabit ethernet adapter, but now I'm upgrading my wireless to gigabit and can upgrade the 360 too. I'm hoping it makes a difference when downloading HD movies. My last download - Transformers, took like 6 hours. Not a long time for so much data but it'd be nice it it was faster.

I can understand that if you are upgrading now, but when buying a new 360, now, it would be nice if they included an adapter with it, or a card for wifi, instead of trying to charge $50-100 for their adapter. I bought an adapter that hooks into the PlayStation 2 or the 360 or a blue-ray device.
I stream netflix over the 360 and have not had a drag or any issues.

I believe PlayStation 3 comes ready for wifi out of the box, as well, but still has a port for later upgrades. Having to buy an adapter is just an added expense that microsoft puts on you that their competitors don't, imho.

if you don't have gaming as a requirement, many BD players are network ready and have netflix, blockbuster, pandora, and youtube streaming capability built in. the higher end Samsung TV's have web access widgets that are user defined.
