Hi Gidget

Oops, guess I should have posted this under the water filter thread. Just for the record, we have some of the best water around - South Florida has been eyeing it for some time. That being said, humans have an incredible knack for fouling their own life source.

I would eventually like to get a whole house filter, probably the Wellness. In the interim, a stainless steel Berkey is on my wish list. For now, it's a Brita. I stopped buying bottled water years ago.

The report looked pretty good really. I HAVE a stainless Berkey. It is awesome. Also have the travel Berkey which is wonderful and works like a charm.

I want a full house system but my dh said we are going to just stick with Berkey for now (I think I'll have to have my travel one upstairs for a midnight drink in the new house )

Hope Santa brings you your Berkey!

Forgot to mention that the only drawback to Berkey is counter space and having to refill it. DH said he is going to put a floater in it so that it fills automatically - like he did with our hydroponic set up. Nice that he is such a tinkerer!!

The best water to drink

It would be nice to have several options to choose from listed here on sowal. I think the best water I ever had was "kangen" water, but it is expensive. The other water that I loved the taste of was straight off a waterfall in the carolina mountains. I believe alkaline water is suggested as the best water to drink - not an expert so maybe other people have suggestions.
