S p r i n g!!!!!!!!

Thank you, Gidget! Sunday morning had a very "spring is on the way" feel for me. This morning I had earsicles while walking the dog.

I just hope Mother Nature is with the program!

I have an important agenda this spring- going to the beach and getting some sun.

It's almost hunting season!

We had pollen last week.

I am getting worried about the cold temps down there. I am afraid the gulf will still be like ice. I read once how warm the air temp had to be for the water to start to warm, but I cant find it now. We are coming May 29th and it really needs to be warm. For a southern girl I have had way to much cold. It snowed 2 days this weekend. I need to put my toes in some warm sand.

May 29 should be tolerable. Me, I like LATE AUGUST waters BUT I shall swim in March just cause I hear cold water is good for you and because I need to get back in training. The frozen shoulder did me in last year and I missed all the fun at the triathlons with my dh. So, I have to buck up! Brrrrr though. Just the thought. Anyway, hope it warms up SOON!!

50 degree water has weight loss benefits or so I hear.

There's three basic factors in the Gulf's temps. Air temp, Sun, and river flow.

I have little to no padding - that's why it is SO difficult for me to take the plunge!! But I am SO ready to get in the water I can't stand it. IF it is really sunny and warm out after the swim, then I think I can do it!!

It's all in how you do it - no delicate slow wading in, you have to charge in and immerse immediately with a big splash!

It cannot come soon enough. I have had enough of thirty degree weather!!!!!

It is definitely spring in SoWal today!!! with lots of springy outdoor stuff happening around town including Camellia Festival at Eden Gardens State Park!

The birds are singing, its bright and sunny, high is 67, and there is pollen on my porch. a perfect day!

The jonquils are up even a few blooming!!

It's official! This cold snap should be gone, I just purchased a 4/3 westsuit. You all can rest assured it will warm up now. Just doing my part to help the cause.
