What is wrong with Dick Cheney's heart? And let me go ahead and kill the first, "I didn't know he had one." This guy has some serious cardiac issues.

Cheney has had four heart attacks, starting when he was 37. He has had quadruple bypass surgery and two artery-clearing angioplasties. In 2001, he had a special pacemaker implanted in his chest. The pacemaker's battery was replaced last year, and then the entire device was replaced.

It's a good thing he has health care. ;-)

He's one of those with many many issues going on.

Health & Medical History of Richard "Dick" Cheney

WOW this link shows the entire medical history. Fascinating.

I would LOVE to have him as a guest for a month and have him eat what I eat and exercise w/me. I guarantee results - I've done it with a close relative who had just as many things a happenin' as Dick.

I hope for his family's sake he can get this under control, but w/out major changes and I mean MAJOR changes in his lifestyle (not just cutting the skin off chicken and drinking skim milk) he won't get the results he needs. Maybe Dean Ornish or Oz can get through to him - and to Clinton (although Clinton isn't nearly as bad off)

Why are you all saying such mean things? He is not the devil spawn, maybe misguided. Save these comments for people who deserve them.

One more thing - if most of you live on 30A, this is the first time I think it may not be a great place to be. Please do not take any offense but life is too short for this anger.

I have to agree--I am about as Left as one can be here, but there is a point where I choose no not dwell in Mr Cheney life--his health, his family, his personal sphere. There is no ill will here, I prefer to stay clear.

Most of the comments were humorous, not malicious rants. Think you read too much into things.

Your idea of humor and mine differ greatly, then. Many of the comments are downright malicious and uncalled for in civil society.

I think it's simply incorrect to imply that Cheney is the spawn of the devil when in fact we all know he's slated to be Satan's involuntary love child for all of eternity.:floor::floor::floor::floor::floor:

I'm far from an expert on torture but you might ask Bud Day about it. I'm sure he could enlighten you as you don't seem to know anything about it, either.

When Cheney became eligible for the draft, during the Vietnam War, he applied for and received five draft deferments.[14][15] In 1989, The Washington Post writer George C. Wilson interviewed Cheney as the next Secretary of Defense; when asked about his deferments, Cheney reportedly said, "I had other priorities in the '60s than military service."[16] Cheney testified during his confirmation hearings in 1989 that he received deferments to finish a college career that lasted six years rather than four, owing to sub par academic performance and the need to work to pay for his education. Initially, he was not called up because the Selective Service System was only taking older men. When he became eligible for the draft, he applied for four deferments in sequence. He applied for his fifth exemption on January 19, 1966, when his wife was about 10 weeks pregnant. He was granted 3-A status, the "hardship" exemption, which excluded men with children or dependent parents. In January 1967, Cheney turned 26 and was no longer eligible for the draft.[17]...thank you wikipedia

I think I'll ask John McCain about it.
