I could not find one article that adequately exposed this international scam, but if you google monsanto with anything else you will see how far reaching the tentacles go.
While we are in Florida trying to protect our land, these government/corporate entities are swapping partners in a bed of greenbacks on the long black train to hell.

"The liberty of a democracy is not safe if the people tolerate the growth of private power to a point where it becomes stronger than their democratic State itself. That, in its essence, is Fascism--ownership of government by an individual, by a group, or any controlling private power."
-President Franklin D. Roosevelt

Be a leader of what you know to be true with your motive being love or other leaders will step in and lead you with power (government employees that accept bribes or transfer from or to corporations during timely legislation) and money(corporations that seek control at the expense of people's health or lives). One more note: Check out the holocaust timeline and see the step by step moves Hitler made to dispel freedom in the lives of those that died, it was gradual. I may have time to document this later.
History is there so we can learn from it. If we analyze the fall of the people in Germany, we will see what threatens America, and hopefully will take steps to avoid it. Right now, according to the timeline of the holocaust, we would be in the concentration camp, ingesting chemicals(GMO seed). If this does not wake you up, I cannot help you.
You might think what I'm saying is radical, but I ask you, what is best for your children- pesticide seeds or natural seeds? That is not a hard question.

The decline of civilization one step at a time: Step 1- Establish legal authority

1. Hitler appointed Chancellor of Germany
2. 40,000 auxiliary police sworn in [ame=http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Auxiliary_police]Auxiliary police - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia[/ame]

3. Nazi's burn Reichstag building to create crisis atmosphere
4. Emergency powers granted to Hitler as a result of the Reichstag fire
5. Nazis open Dachau concentration camp near Munich
6. German Parliament passes Enabling Act giving Hitler dictatorial powers

All this happened in less than 2 mths

The decline of civilization one step at a time: Step 2- Remove personal power from targeted individuals

1. Boycott livelihood of Jews
2. Single out ethnicity(namely non-Aryan)
3. The gestapo's [ame=http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gestapo]Gestapo - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia[/ame] plan to take control through famine
4. Remove literature while singing Nazi songs and anthems
5. Nazi party declared only legal party in Germany
6. Finally, Nazi's pass law to strip Jewish immigrants of their citizenship and
7. Forced sterilization of those found by Hereditary Health Court to have genetic defects

All this happened in less than 4 mths.

To be cont.

The decline of civilization one step at a time: Step 3- Civil rights removed

Targeted individuals excluded from business associations(Nazis had their own Chamber), the arts, owning land, and being newspaper editors. Also, Nazi's pass law against Habitual and Dangerous criminals which allows beggars, the homeless, alcoholics, and the unemployed to be sent to concentration camps.

All this happened in less than 3 mths.

To be cont.(maybe)

Going to have to do this later cause I want to dig up Hitler and kill him over again that this could happen to a people. I believe it is important to document in simple terms so we can recognize it if we see it in America and do something to stop it instead of letting our rights be destroyed one at a time. Those of us that have a conscience can hear what I am saying, there are those that live in a bubble that will burst eventually if they do not stand up for what is right. As we can see, with just a land/oil issue in Florida, we are hard-pressed to find candidates that want to truly represent what the people want and we do know who they are. We have to work together as a team to ensure our rights as citizens and to stand up to companies like Monsanto that spread seeds of death by not purchasing them and demanding labeling on GMO foods. It is a free country and if people like pesticide foods, they can purchase them. I just think we should have that option and not have it forced upon us by the omission of labeling.

Hey Scootie

I got the idea from Monsanto's own resume which states that Monsanto joined with IG Farben in 1967, "the German chemical firm that was the financial core of the Hitler regime, and was the main supplier of Zyklon-B to the German government during the extermination phase of the Holocaust." IG Farben was not dissolved until 2003. Check post #41 for info above.

I was documenting the ways of Hitler cause I figured since Monsanto had no scruples based on the fact that they joined up with a company that was a known ally to Hitler and his atrocities, they might follow the same pattern Hitler did. If nothing else, I wanted to see what strategies Hitler used to see who was following the same destructive ways in America and point them out so everyone could see. Some people like to not know or pretend not to know what goes on in America and that goes back to what I call heads in the sand.

I am not actually comparing Monsanto to the Hitler regime, but I have been known to change my mind based on the facts.

Vehicles were not the method of execution in the Holocaust- chemicals were, specifically Zyklon B- bit of difference there. IG Farben delivered chemical weapons that killed thousands of people. Monsanto's motive is questionable in my book and research into its ways deserve notice. Someone that has something to hide is going to put a face on it so it cannot be easily recognizable, until the mask comes off. I prefer faces without masks. I probably spot masks more readily cause growing up in politics, everyone had one. If you are promoting truth you don't need a mask. Monsanto is saying one thing and doing something else- mask. If there is something you like about Monsanto then post it, if it is a proven fact, and it is good, then after I check into it myself I might believe it.

How well did non-GM crops do during this time, what's the typical suicide rate in India traditionally, and how many of them are farmers? The seeds may be more expensive with potential for creating hardship when failures occur, but that's a far cry from blaming GM technology, and of course the term GM genocide is absurd.

Prince Charles and India’s ?GM Genocide? - Counterknowledge.com

According to New Scientist, ?more than 100,000 people kill themselves each year in India. Many of these deaths are of men who fall into debt, and one-fifth of all the suicides are farmers.? It is nothing new for anti-GM activists, including Prince Charles, to blame GM crops for these deaths: in 2005, Gene Campaign, an anti-GM group based in Delhi, was calling for legal action against India?s Genetic Engineering Approval Committee (GEAC) for ?criminal negligence and willful suppression of facts in the Bt cotton case? [for Bt read GM]. But even they only cited ?several instances? of farmer suicides. Significantly though, Gene Campaign made some attempt at a scientific study:

GMO Food For Thought: Biotech Crops: Former U.S. President Carter Backs Biotechnology for Africa

Biotech Crops: Former U.S. President Carter Backs Biotechnology for Africa

Council for Biotechnology Information
July 8, 2007

Excerpt?

Jimmy Carter speaks out against anti-biotech "propaganda."

Growing biotech crops in Africa has gained another voice of support in former U.S. president and Nobel Peace Prize laureate Jimmy Carter.

In a speech in September at the United Nations University in Tokyo,1 Carter spoke about the need for further aid for sub-Saharan Africa. His goal in speaking was, "to address perhaps the most basic human right of all: for food to eat."

Carter spoke at length about the need for more aid targeted for agricultural development in Africa. He also made clear his objections to those who would keep the fruits of biotechnology out of the hands of people who need it most.

"We must combat the false propaganda of some European extremists who condemn the use of genetically modified seeds," Carter said. "Their misleading statements have been extremely damaging to Africa, where some misguided leaders have rejected such imports."

In 2002, several African countries debated whether to accept food aid ? including corn developed with biotechnology ? from the United States. In the end, only one country, Zambia, rejected the food aid outright. But the debate over the safety of biotech food that is eaten every day by North Americans continues as hunger becomes even more widespread in Africa?.

Okay, let me be very clear that I spoke with a friend and employee about this. He lives here. He told me first hand that this was due to the crops failing which were GMO, other farmers who felt taking on the debt was a bad idea had average yields from their non-GMO crops. It was not a weather anomaly.

Seems Monsanto is getting the eyeball from the Justice Department now.

The price increases have not only irritated many farmers, they have caught the attention of the Obama administration. The Justice Department began an antitrust investigation of the seed industry last year, with an apparent focus on Monsanto, which controls much of the market for the expensive bioengineered traits that make crops resistant to insect pests and herbicides.
The investigation is just one facet of a push by the Obama administration to take a closer look at competition — or the lack thereof — in agriculture, from the dairy industry to livestock to commodity crops, like corn and soybeans.

This is an area where I think we can agree on something. There needs to be a different set of intellectual property laws for products that become part of your environment and make copies of themselves. The good news is that it's not just the little guy against Monsanto, the big boys are getting into the act too. There is no doubt that reform is needed in the industry. Some people's idea of reform would be zero-tolerance for the technology. That's where I would disagree.

Have any of you come across an analysis of whether or not the lower pesticide/herbicide cost offsets the higher seed price (of GM seeds)?
Since Roundup and some other chemicals have been used long enough now that some weeds have become resistant to them, what can farmers use?
Even using the naturally occurring Bt bacteria through the technology of creating Bt corn (which can defend itself against corn borers) we now have the problem of insect resistance.

Seems we may have made our own bed here and are now laying in it. :idontno:
