Congressman Allen Boyd Now on Palin's "Hit" List!

Sarah Palin is at it again. On her website today, in response to the passage of the needed Healthcare reform, she said "Conservative America, it is now time to RELOAD." She announced the "targeting" of 20 congressional districts in the U.S. to "fire" the Democratic incumbants and replace them with qualified Republicans/Teabaggers.

Guess who is also on the list, Florida's own Rep. Alen Boyd (who changed his vote for reform from No to Yes last week).

This former weather girl, beauty queen, politician and now fulltime celebrity wack job for all Republican/Teabagger causes, loves to use the totally inappropriate and dangerous moose hunting terminology (target, fire, reload) to get her point across to her very impressionable... "followers".

Sore losers can be very dangerous folks, politics aside. Give your support to Rep. Boyd now!

Please read my comment again....Have you seen the entire GOP leadership together with their decry to stop the violence? I haven't.

So, in your mind it is ok to have these violent actions because of what happened in the 60's? 50 years ago? I couldn't honestly answer whether the leadership back then condemned the violence or not....but then again, per your own statement neither can you, but you still express your statements that they didn't....sounds like a faux news accurate sound bite.....

I don't remember Tip O'Neill on the balcony egging the anti-war protesters on.....:idontno:....or any major news organization, either. I don't remember any organized protest which asked publicly, on major media outlets, for everyone to bring their bombs to a protest "as close to the White House as they will let us", like the "Bring your gun to Washington" protest.

Maybe it's the internets, just publicizing these people, giving them a public forum.

I do remember major news organizations filming civil rights protesters being beaten and showing that to the rest of the country. That was a different time, though, and that was extremely controversial. There were plenty of people who thought it was "staged"; I think we forget how divided we have always been, maybe because we didn't have opinion pieces being published every 10 seconds.

Andy, I believe the napalm fumes are getting to you. Comparing health care to the civil rights movement is pretty insulting to those that were there. I know you're a war monger, but did you ever protest for desegregation and equal rights?

P.S. It was the equivalent of teabaggers that killed 4 black girls and injured 22 when they decided to speak out against the change that was happening by blowing up a church.

It would behove you to read and digest what I post or keep your mouth shut! It also might benefit you to realize I wasn't answering any query from you but from someone else although I realize we all do that but it would help if you read the post I was answering.
FYI, regarding civil rights. I knew what civil rights were before you were born and grew up in totally integrated schools. Please do me the courtesy of understanding that you are not the only one on the board with vast knowledge and experience. Though I know mine is real, I am not sure about yours.
As to the war mongering. There is no one on the board who hates war more than I do but when you are asked to participate and you have chosen a career field that deals in it, you have little choice. Either participate or get out. I chose the former. More importantly, when you have lost 14 of your comrades in less than two months, you come and tell me what it is you are. War monger does not ring true under those circumstances.
There are violent senseless episodes in every heated dispute. Many of us do not like the direction our country is heading. Most of us will peacefully protest that direction. A few loons and fatheads will not. They are obviously on both sides of the political spectrum. One last thing. Its not teabaggers, its tea party movement participants, most who have jobs, are retired or are just plain interested in seeing their children and grandchildren not saddled with a debt for which they are not responsible. You're a smart guy, SWGB, start showing it instead of showing off.

It really is a shame you will be deciding your vote on the grounds you dislike someone who calls out a representative who makes up his mind on which way his party's wind blows and ignores the obvious wishes of the majority of his constituents. Allen Boyd is the perfect microcosm of whats wrong with our congress and why they have a teen approval rating.

Someone whom I strongly disagree with on almost every issue and who is "leading" a group of people whose opinions, tactics, and behavior I strongly disagree with is strongly against a certain politician.

Don't need a magic eight ball to see that said politician will probably be getting my vote.

The enemy of my enemy and all that.

Latest Sarah P quote:

We're not the party of no, she told the energized crowd, we're the "party of hell no!" Palin derided "this BS coming from the lame-stream media about us inciting violence."

This at a McCain rally - so, my last shred of respect for him is now gone. Screaming "we're the party of Hell No" at an "energized" crowd? This is not encouraging them to think, to agree, to make decisions, it's encouraging them to pick up pitchforks and follow her.

Where are the decent, intelligent Republicans who want to make the world better and safe for capitalism? I can't find any. I've been driven out of this party since W took office because I don't define my entire existence around abortion, gay marriage and gun rights, and I still like an idiot continued to vote for them, thinking they were pro-business. Now they're just pro-BS.

Me and Ron Paul. There are a few others, who are continuously painted as wingnuts. Ron Paul is a wingnut, and Sarah Palin is a patriot. If Barry Goldwater were to rise and walk the earth again, he'd be painted as too soft on abortion and gun rights. And, no doubt, discredited by the pimps at the RNC.

The fact that Sarah Palin is now having to come to Arizona to help get John McCain elected ought to be the tipping point for a lot of conservatives.

Since we all know how well this went the last time they teamed up and the loonies she attracts, it really makes one question John Mcain's common sense.

Jack Cafferty's comment on the Palin appearance in Arizona:

"
He's being challenged in the primary and with the general disdain for all of the members of Congress, it's not inconceivable he could get knocked off.

But if you're in danger of drowning, why would you ask someone to throw you an anchor?

Once again we're back to obey your elders. I do apologize for the napalm reference, that was a low blow, but being told to shut up isn't exactly going to get me to hold my tongue.

It's great that you grew up in desegregated schools without incident. My father grew up in Florida and witnessed beatings, fire hoses, and dogs. I witnessed a riot at my middle school fueled by racial unrest. I believe goodwitch58 was in Tallahassee for the Deer Lake Middle School riot and may remember it.

SWGB, I thank you for the reasonably civil response. That said, I suggest you go back and read the sentence regarding "shut up". It had a qualification attached.
I now love Florida as I live here and love SoWal. But I grew up in Colorado and had very little contact or interest in segregation. It just didn't happen, though admittedly ther was a passive separation between whites, mexicans and blacks. It didn't show up in classes or sports. It did socially and, to a great degree, still does if you are honest about it. Everybody's experience with race relations is different. Mine, for instance, besides being raised in integrated schools, is also shadowed by my military service. Despite what many think, there is a lot of social interaction among races and I had many black friends. Suffice it to say, everyone's experiences regarding race is different.

I can relate to this, while serving on a ship overseas one of my closest friends was black (this was pre African-American).

>> I didn't see the Democrat leaders doing that during the '60's. Oh wait, I was off fighting a war that Democrat Presidents escalated and then decided not to win<<

Richard Milhous Nixon was elected president in 1968 and 1972.

US Troops left Vietnam in 1975 during the term of Gerald Ford.

Both of these presidents were Republican.

There may be some young folks that don't know better.

I did, but conservatives seem to be pretty good at rewriting history. I keep waiting for Clinton to somehow be responsible.

O.K. Now I've been accused of re-writing history by the Left. In 1963, the escalation of the war began in earnest. It was under a Democrat President. The Bay of Tongyn (Sp?) began the biggest troop escalation in our history since World War II. Lyndon Johnson was president, I believe.:sarc:In late 1965 through November of 1966 I flew missions in Laos. Every pilot flying in the area knew how we could win the war but we didn't have the fortitude to do so. We were still under a Democrat president.
Lastly, I suggest you analyze why we withdrew from VietNam. I am not sure of the make-up of Congress at the time, but they withdrew the money for support of the conflict. Our diplomatic staff and military support was left looking for a way off the roof of the American Embassy. I really think you can lay little blame at the feet of Gerald Ford. Now, maybe young people who don't know better will see the other side of the story. This is the last I'll say about VietNam. It is a chapter of my life I'd just as soon forget and most of the reasons have to do with the lack of support the troops received and the attitude of many of the '60's protesters still prevalent in many of them today. Thankfully, in that respect, that doesn't seem to be happening now regardless of your stand on Iraq and Afganistan.

Fact: Lush Rimbaugh has been spewing hate and even stated that the "Bastards must go" a couple of days ago.

Fact: Several of the Repub house reps were video taped egging on the protesters last weekend and waving don't tread on me flags. One even had a picture of the Speaker of the House and did a thumbs down then ***** slapped the picture in mockery, egging on the crowd.

Fact: Several of the tea party protesters spit on, cussed, called names to black and gay democratic house representatives last weekend.

Even the local law enforcement has stated that they suspect that the gas line cutting was directly associated with the wrong address posted on the tea party web site "encouraging" their group to visit the democrat representative who voted for the healthcare bill.

At least your opinion of hate on these threads hasn't resulted in physical aggression or destruction.....

But there again, these were just fat angry white men, and gender/race doesn't play into anything......

I guess you don't think "fat angry old white men" is an insensitive, racially charged, hatred spewing remark? I call BS on you. You are a hypocrite.

And tell me how saying the bastards must go is hate speech? Ever hear of something called elections?

Finally, last time I checked the "don't tread on me" flags were a symbol of something called the American Revoltution. By your thinking we would still be under the crown and paying tea taxes to London.

Liberals should remember people who live in glass houses should not throw stones. When it comes to political protests the tea party people are not even in the liberals league when it comes to spewing hatred.

And you know good and well that if a conservative called Jackson, Sharpton et.al "fat angry old black men" millions of liberals would die of apolexy and whoever said it would be fired for being a racist pig.

Too funny. This is why you conservatives get in trouble when it comes to making statements concerning race, you don't know the difference between noting the color of ones skin and a racist remark.
