OK Alli- then you get to here my "major score" story. There is a new subdivision going in down the road. The land had a bunch of little old houses with lots of flowers. I had big plans to get every last iris and peony out of there, then they bulldozed the whole place last week, covering most everything up. Today I was driving by and noticed a few little groups of iris, so I grabbed a tub and shovel, and ended up with about $200 worth of iris and sadly only 1 peony, but hey! Better than none!


I love free plants. But now I have to plant them all!

Yippee for you, jdarg! I too love iris! Especially ones from old yards. My love for them comes from when I was a little girl (only child) and the lady next door was about a hundred, but she had these huge iris beds. They were everywhere! I used to help her weed, etc. I still cannot smell an iris without thinking of her...thanks for jogging my memory! 😀

I'm up at 5:30, but it is not for workouts, but coffee and to wake up the dogs. I just hate it when they beat me up in the morning. 😀

Holy Cow! As you can tell by my posts, I'm up all hours of the nights and sleep in late . Sunshine will sleep till 2PM if I let her usually :lol: so no problem there. I used to exercise at 5AM before going to work in a hospital and I felt great but for a while there, I was on the phone all day long and the only time I could get work done was at night so my internal clock started to shift.

This might be a goal for me. Get up early and get out on the beach. Last year, I really wanted to do the turtle watch thing but was afraid I'd let the little guys down if I didn't wake up. Goal setting - was thinking about starting a thread about it. Once you say it, you kinda have to do it.

Confession: I measured myself for a bridesmaid dress. And you know how that goes. 😱 I figure it's easier to take in than out...right? I used to go after work, but it's so packed...and I've had a lot of events for work after work. So I just make sure I get it in. And I don't spend all day coming up with an excuse to go just straight home from work. But that dress is looming over me.
