How is the pollen in SoWal?

Yesterday our pollen count in GA. was 6000! It's unbelievable! When the wind blows it actually blows "pollen devils", those little mini whirlwinds that in the dry heat of summer are red from the clay here. My black trucklett is now more of a citron green. You can actually feel it on your skin and in your eyes!

We are expecting some rain today. Hopefully, that will wash some of the stuff out of the air!

GTTBM, ever since i got back from Georgia the first week of March, the pollen has been THICK! It's just gotten a bit better in the past week....i think due to the fog we've been having. I was dusting my porch table every morning and by the afternoon had another coat settled on everything. We all had runny noses & itchy eyes for weeks! Sometimes i could see it afloat in the air and when the wind blows, huge clouds of it blowing off the house. It's bad this year....never seen it quite so high. Happy sneezing!

Unfortunately, the yellow stuff (pine pollen) is not what drives people nuts...unless you're a clean freak. It may make your eyes itch like getting dust in them, but from an immunological perspective the pollen grains are too big. It's all the other stuff you don't see that drives you crazy...

sniff sniff!

It's so bad up here, that the floors in the Delta hangars are bright yellow. Gross!

I agree, my issue is the kitchen remodel we have underway and the contractors that were apparently raised in barns. They have all the doors wide open and have absolutely no need for them to be that way. One of them complained it was hot in my house. I advised him to step outside where all the air conditioned air was flowing!

This is the first year that I have ever been hit by the pollen whammy- I am hoping for a little rain too. The air just feels so dirty and needs a bath!

The pollen is terrible her in Arkansas. We did get a rain Wednesday that helped alot. You can breath a little better today. I hope it is headed your way so everyone can get a little relief.

Looks like it may start any second here.

You're so Southern! Can't tell you how many times I heard this one growing up....for not closing cabinet doors, back door, etc.

Yep, yellow dust everywhere. Cowboy looks green like your trucklette. Because we went from freezing winter to summer overnight, my doors haven't been open, but it's still all over the house. I love Spring anyway. ;-)

Thankfully we got heavy rains last night, I actually backed my black vehicle out of the carport and let the rain wash it off.

When our black lab goes out back and comes back in she is a pucky shade of green also.

We have a nice coating on everything here in the big "D" too. Almost looks lime green.
