I think it should be just the right combination of both gooey underside and crispy, chewy, slightly broiled topside in each bite......however, you always run out of the top part first. YUM

I may have to go to Publix today and buy a frozen mac and cheese entree and a deli fried chicken to go. If I was going to make it from scratch, I'd go to Chan's and get some aged gouda and make gourmet Mac n Cheese. I know it makes good cheese toast, so should melt okay.

Locally here, Shorty's has the BEST mac and cheese in Sowal.
