Well, there's something I thought I would never say! Can't say I didn't see it coming (I do good work but clash with manager). SO- here's God's foot on my backside saying "Get out and find a more compatible workplace.....and while you're at it, could you learn to keep your mouth closed more often????"

How is it that rotten managers can push good people to the breaking point, get rid of them and start all over on the next victim?

Thanks for the kind words. I have already been on line and applying for jobs. I didn't expect this job to last forever- kind of had a bad feeling about it from the get go. However, I have been trying to hold off until my September SoWal vacation- ah well, time will tell!

Good luck to you Poodle. It has often amazed me how many people are in management positions who should not be.

What jerks! I know it'll work out better for you in the end but it's stressful for the time being. What kind of work are you looking for, maybe I know someone who knows someone since I have family and friends all over East Texas!

All Poodleone said was that he/she clashed with the manager. Why is everyone so quick to jump on the manager? Poodleone said they didn't have a good feeling about the job from the get go. Good luck on your job search Poodleone.

DD and bluemtnrunner: you are both too funny. I miss sowal but love getting on here every once in awhile and seeing what other people who love sowal are talking about. How is the weather down there?

Well, yeah, because just by being manangement they are EVIL- all of us hourly folks know this

Really, I just posted here because I was feeling down about the whole CRAZY thing, not because I am placing blame or declining responsibility for my big, grown-up faults in the mess. Thanks to all, especially DD and BbA (but YOU are prejudiced because you are a fellow Texans and just KNOW I am a flawless example of Southern womanhood and could not possibly be at fault). Yep, time to go to bed because it is back to work tomorrow- must put on my big girl panties and face the cold, cruel world (well, actually, it is still in the 80's here but I digress.....)

Poodleone, the $hit has hit the fan in our town in GA. It is so sad. The closings of large facilities here by a major manufacturer was announced last week. The loss of jobs will adversely affect the local economy. Most of those who are under 55 and weren't fired will be moving out of the state to headquarters, so the already sluggish real estate market will be glutted with even more houses for sale. Those 55 and over were offered "voluntary" (LOL) retirement packages in the fall of 2008. It has been devastating, shocking, and unexpected for the local economy.

The tackiest thing is that a high-level manager in the company under 55-yo recently bought his wife a Mercedes E63 AMG. How thoughtless and arrogant was that, given that the walls are crumbling for everyone around him?

So we understand your pain.

That being said, if people keep posting doomsday predictions for the Florida Gulf Coast on SoWal.com, the $hit will hit the fan here, businesses will fail, and jobs will be lost.
