The official help KISH get to 1000 posts so he can make an ornament thread

My wife and I put up the tree the day after Thanksgiving. She then proceeds to go to her mother's house on Saturday and decorate their place. We actually start putting things up Thanksgiving week. She has tons of knick knacks that she changes out for the holidays and she have a Christmas Village that goes up each year. I built a bridge between 2 built in cabinets in the dining room that she sets up her village on.

Yeah, I pretty much start the week of Thanksgiving too.
Aren't you sweet to build her a shelf.

I go to my mom and dad's house and we make homemade fruit salad. We cut up oranges, grapefruit, grapes, banannas and cherries. Mix in all the juice and let set for a couple of days. We have been making this since I can remember. My wife make klatchies with a ice cream dough. I just gum drop those suckers.

Yum.

KISH, what's your favorite Christmas song?

59 mo posts to go before Thanksgiving? Yikes, we need to shake a tail feather, Kish.

What was your most favorite Christmas memory?

Hey LuLu!!

Hey DD! I miss you!!

Where the heck you 2 gulls been? Miss gabbing with the 2 of you. Things are getting a little cooler here. It is supposed to snow on Friday.

Snow???? It's cold here, too.....well for us, anyway.
I've been ridiculously busy, KISH, but I am here for you and your post count! What's for supper tonight? Grilled cheeses?

We're looking at lows in the 40's just in time for Mountain Film Festival. One of these years can we just sweat through it?

Yum.

There is a song by Kenny Rogers and Dolly Parton and I can't remember the name. I have to get the CD out and look. I will post it later. Also most of the early songs by Trans Siberian. They are great.

I worked out tonight so I had a leftover chicken salad sandwich. I usually eat a big lunch around 2:00 and then just have a protein bar later but tonignt I just had the munchies so I had the sandwich and chips. Oh so healthy!!!

Well it was sandwich day.

Love Trans Siberian..

They came into prominence after Mannheim Steamroller. I like their Christmas music also. Some of their early regular music is easy listening music. Nice background when you are reading a book.

I like them both, also. I am getting excited about Christmas!! My favorite time of year.

Nope, response to KISH's weather statement and then I threw in the commentary at the end.

oh heck. I thought we could just start throwing in random sheet in here.

too bad KISH is working so hard and we don't have an ornament exchange coordinator this year. yet.

That sounded like a volunteer to me.

Why no ornament coordinator??? We need the swap...holiday tradition! I have my music playing and anxiously waiting for Thanksgiving to put up the tree!

It's the economy, we already let the soiree go.

I have a feeling it will happen.

I have a feeling it will happen.

I hope so. Its a tradition for me to spend days on my ornament project, blissfully ignoring all the other holiday work & preparations I need to be doing. Its a distraction. and its fun to create like a child. and I depend on it.
