Most of you know that I have a particular fetish when it comes to acquiring cleaning products. I hate actually using them, but I love buying them.

Well now, it's bedding, linens, etc. It's dangerous for me to have a day off during the week, a little extra $ in my pocket and the time to shop. I just purchased my second set of king sized bedding this year. I think I am now up to 6 comforters and God knows how many pillows and sheets.

Someone help me stop the madness.

:floor:Only problem is, I still like them all. I switch them out seasonally. By seasons, I mean all four seasons plus a couple of extras like Christmas. When you do that, you gotta have all the pillows, accessories to go with. Yikes. I am sick.

This is what I usually do...too much time on my hands today. Fortunately, car is now in the shop, so I have no wheels.

Ok! Time for that martini! Have one for me too!! I am headed out to Frisco, Connor has a workout session at Zoom and I'm taking the girls to the mall to get a pair of flip flops (like they don't already have any). I will put my blinders on in the mall as well. I don't need to buy anything!!!

DD,
Do you think there is a linen/pillow-purchaser rehab/spa place somewhere.:idontno: I need to go. My hubby claims that if I croak before him, the very evening after my funeral he is going to make a big bonfire of all the beautiful decorative pillows:wub: that are on all the beds in our house.

:floor::floor::floor:Oh, this makes me laugh so hard!!
Maybe we could start a linen/pillow-purchaser rehab/spa. I have a feeling we could make tons!! :floor:

You'd have to stock up on deluxe linens for a discriminating clientele.

It's not how many comforters you have, it's how often you clean them! ;-)

I was taught: at least one complete and presentable for company set of linens for each bed for each major season. So you could technically justify 2-4 sets of sheets and 2-3 comforters for each bed depending on your weather - more if you have special frequent guests who would enjoy their own special linens or have quirks/special needs.

I made the mistake ONCE taking my husband with me when I was buying new bedding. After what seemed like hours of debate we finally agreed upon a comforter and sheets. When the sales lady asked me how many sets of sheets I wanted, my husband replied....why would I need more than one?

The sales lady look at me with sympathy in her eyes and said....oh, you poor dear.

Four sets of linens for each bed! This is madness, I tell you , madness!
(no wonder we can't cram one more thing in any of our closets) :D

My sister who lives in Dallas introduced me to the Peacock Alley sales there. Incredibly beautiful and comfortable bed linens. I've purchased linens for bedrooms at the GA house and the FL house. The markdown is unbelievable! I've bought stuff there I've never used because the prices were so cheap.

DD, you MUST check out the closeout sales there. The deals are unbelievable!

Not if you live somewhere where the temp changes by 80 degrees in a year and your bedroom temp can vary by 40.

Cool or soft cotton sheets for summer and warm flannel for winter was a necessity.

I'm sorry DD, but I can't help you. I can, however, sit next to you in our support group. And another thing - who needs a car to shop? Have you seen the linens on ebay??

Well, have a seat. :D
I kinda like being able to touch the stuff--but I will take a gander at ebay. I guess I've never mentioned that ebay's another addiction. And, it gets ugly real fast.

DD, you're fine. I admire you for all the linen shopping you do. The more you buy means the less I'll buy, but I'll just move on to shoes and hanbags.

I want to come to your new spa! Is there a laptop in each room with homepage set ebay? Did I ever tell Y'all I bought a car on ebay?

What are All Y'all buying today?
