What am I missing?

There was a segment on Good Morning America this morning where Robin interviewed a scientist who specializes in Great Whites. He appears about 1:30 into this clip How Seals Avoid Great White Sharks - ABC News

I called GTTBM in to see this geeky scientist with the Australian accent talk about sharks. She was transfixed and didn't think he was geeky at all.

Then I said that I guessed being a geek, he probably reminded her of me when I was younger. I could almost swear that she rolled her eyes several times.

What am I missing?

Definitely not geekish~~~~~~

I saw a video yesterday about orcas and sea lions - in the video the orcas ate their meal (about three sea lion cubs each) and then played with one, tossing him back and forth to another orca like volleyball, then nudged the little guy to safety on the beach.
