Here are some wonderful color photos from the 1940s.

Farm Security Administration/Office of War Information photographers took these photos which are some of the only color photographs taken of the effects of the Depression on America?s rural and small town populations.

yw! There are some really amazing photos. I wonder if they are ever a traveling exhibit. It would be great to have them come to the DFW area.

Thanks for posting this! I love looking at old photos. The fact that these are color somehow makes the past seem cheerier than I've ever been able to envision. Old B&W photos always seem to express a grainy, harsh, bleak, sunless world.
