I wanted to let my SoWal friends that are not on FB know about the passing of my dear sweet friend Crump. He passed away on Saturday and he was laid to rest in Crump style yesterday. He had a very beautiful service. I am so thankful and honored to have known such a wonderful man who touched so many lives. He truly was a wonderful teacher to so many. There were probably 300 people at his visitation on Tuesday, most of them former students of his. It was like a big High School Reunion for many classes. I am sure he was loving every minute of it.

He loved SoWal more than anybody. He is the reason for me finding it and loving it. His love for all things of the sea was so inspiring to me. I will never be able to watch a beach sunset, or smell the sea air without thinking of him.

Some of you were lucky enough to have met him. He remembered each and everyone of you and asked about you often.

I will miss him more than anything, but I am so thankful he is healed.

He was such a special man, mentor, and friend. His legacy will live on in the lives he touched, and to the many he inspired during his lifetime. He will be missed.

Here's to Crump, smooth sailing and safe journey my friend!

We were born before the wind
Also younger than the sun
Ere the bonnie boat was won as we sailed into the mystic
Hark, now hear the sailors cry
Smell the sea and feel the sky
Let your soul and spirit fly into the mystic

Love this.
It must have been the week for men with the sea in their soul to return home. (My Grandpa lived on the ocean) I am so grateful that Crump touched you and Kelly's lives, otherwise, we may have not known you. May he rest in peace.

I'm sorry KDW, he was a great guy and will be very missed. You still have to setup his chair when you come down.
