I heard that Shelly doesn't like the Flintstones because they had granite countertops.

Yeah you could sort of tell that. Fred=Ralph Cramden, fat over bearing. Barney=Norton, good-natured smart-ass. Then they had their fraternities. Ralph and Norton belonged to the Raccoons, Fred and Barney belonged to the Water Buffalo.

It wasn't all happiness and sunshine for the Flintstones:

Dinosaurs belong in the bed of your pickup. Can't help wondering what living organism would constitute an airbag in today's Flintstones.

My 10 year old is officially obsessed with the Flintstones. I am so glad to see the old shows on this Boomerang network ... They definitely seem to be less crass than most of the current kids' shows. Whatever Cartoon Network genius decided to unlock the Hanna-Barbera vault and throw it all onto its own network should probably replace Zucker at NBC!

I remember watching the Flinstones on Friday nights at 8:30PM when they were a new primetime show.
I also watched TopCat, The Jetsons and later Johnny Quest that way.
