Snippets from the evening with real-life conversation excerpts:

(In the restaurant bathroom):
"Mom, I can't poop. Help me."
"How?"
"Push on the top of my head!"

(Leaving the restaurant):
Three-year-old: "That was a long date!"
Gee, thanks.

Kate just asked me if boys wear dresses. I haven't had enough coffee to explain that one yet. (She watched "Turkules" this week- Hercules was wearing his cute littel gladiator skirt :lolabove: ).

When does mr Pea get home? You sound like you are still together!

Late next Tuesday night.
I think you should explain to Kate that, yes, some boys do wear dresses. In fact, some boys prefer dresses to pants. And, furthermore, in Scotland, boys wear skirts with no undies underneath. And...this thought-provoking discussion has endless entertaining angles!
audie, sounds like your nephew and my son should take their act on the road!

I love the way kids in general, but 3-year-olds in particular, view and describe life experiences. Cherish those long dates, Peapod. ;-)

Today's gem:
Li'l Pod #4 is sitting on the floor next to my chair, singing into this tape recorder that distorts voices. He started doing some sort of freeform rap when I heard the line: "...Mama's boy toy..." 😱
