2010 ornament exchange

So glad you like it, there is a part missing, the little note that was in the card is a clue, but the shipping got delayed on it.

It is in route now, hope it makes it by Christmas, if not you will have an after Christmas surprise. 😀

I will state that the fact that I haven't 'done a tree' for years-n-years has nothing to do with spiritual

My roommate during my freshman year at Tulane was Jewish. I had never known anyone who wasn't Baptist, Methodist, or Presbyterian. She would tease me with things about Judaism that I didn't know whether they were true or false.

Anyhow, she told me that her family decorated a Chanukah bush at this time of year.:idontno:

I am glad you liked them. After seeing everyone's ornate ornaments, mine look amateur. I made the flip flops similarly for someone else, can't recall who, but I do remember you asking me questions about how I made it. I always wanted to make them for you, but time got past me. Thanks for noticing the crimson color was close. I didn't have it available and I had to improvise. Merry Christmas!

I'm sorry this is getting to you late...my son brought me the package this morning and said, "oh yeah, mom this came for you, I forgot...it was in my car" Don't ask how it got in his car. The sad news is...this same boy "borrowed" my camera for a school project and yes, you guessed it, left it in his locker for Christmas break! Got to love teenagers.....

So anyway...I can't post a picture...but my ornament is beautiful...it reminds me of a delicate birds nest. AND I got a little rodolph and santa too! I so hope you took a picture of them before you sent it...I would love you to post it!!!

Yesterday I received Minnie's absolute grooviest beach ornament (along with the sweetest note)! ThankU-ThankU-ThankU Minnie!!!!! The truly cool thing is, this swimming fish isn't holiday specific so she's going to be part of my every-single-day ornamentation! Minnie this is so completely awesome, 'cuz that really is how I LIVE... surrounded by special things swimming around decorating every single day with smiles and joy!! See how fabulous she looks nestled amidst the greenery???? I'm thrilled beyond belief (and the 'house-fisher-man' totally digs her too!!)!

Presenting my "ornaments". Actually, they are UNICORNAMENTS (wow, I can make up new words like Sarah Palin :lol:!)

Courtesy of SWGB with help and giggling from Scuba Steve I am sure. Presented to me in front of a crowd at the Seaside Rep opening night after-party. The whole porch was staring.:shock:

They obviously will not hang on a tree, and the picture (THAT IS NOT HERE) only shows the father unicorn and 2 hatchlings. The mother unicorn (a lovely, buxom lavender PillowPet) was commandeered by Princess Kate and is now her pillow.

We did discuss slipping them into a local inflatable manger scene. Every blowup Nativity needs unicorn hatchlings.

(Having very annoying computer issues- won't let me upload my pics! Arghh! Something about a security token something, and yes Kurt- I cleared my cookies!!)

I Love looking at all the ornaments!! Everyone is so creative! You guys all did a great job! 😀

Recieved my ornament from Paula and it's very special as it has special meaning to Paula and now for me.

I will try to post a photo later, when I can find my camera.:idontno:

It is a very cute shell cup, from Seaside, filled with shells, and a spoon from the ice cream shop of Paula's hometown in Italy, tied with a very festive green ribbon. :clap:

Oh, I'm so glad you liked it, Minnie! It's an ice cream ornament made of stuff from the places I love most in the world - shells from florida, ice cream cup from SoWal, and ice cream spoon from Italy. I guess we could say the ribbon is from Michigan! So, it was very good to get a chance to share those special places in the world in a SoWal ornament for you! Merry Christmas and the best in 2011. :wub:

I got a beautiful hand-cross-stitched ornament from Dia!!!! it's an angel cross-stiched and then sewn into a round ornament with lace all around the edge. It's lovely. I'm embarrassed to say that I don't know how to upload a photo of it and I'm heading off for Christmas vacation, so I won't be able to figure it out before I leave. But one of these days I'll figure out how to do it and post the photo. But trust them that the ornament is beautiful and is now on my tree, as are my other ornaments from the SoWal ornament exchange throughout the years.

Received my ornament today from "Fired Up". It is great. It is a beach scene on 1 half and a snowman on the other half. Thank you and I wish I was there also and I will stop in next time we visit. I am also enjoying the chocolates. I will try to take a picture and post it later. Merry Christmas!!!:clap::clap:

I am still trying to upload my pictures. They are going to have to wait until Bdarg can figure out what a security token is and why I don't have one but need one. :(
