How: Email me your SoWal name, real name and address by November 30th. I will draw names and get your recipient's information to you. This information will remain anonymous.

What: Hand make or purchase an ornament which is personal to your recipient. Keep it simple...no one wants to stress about this!
Mail it to your receipient by December 15th. This is not a hard and fast rule, A few days late will not hurt.
This year we thought it would be funn to open your ornament as soon as you receive it in the mail and post a picture of it!! An on-going opening party! Who will be the first lucky SoWaller to post their ornament??
*If you feel unfamilliar with your receipent, I will start a thread about getting to know your SoWaller.
*DD and Tootsie will be adding more information to this thread!!!!

I am on facebook... 🙂 I plan on delivering my ornament directly to my recipients mailbox in the next couple of days. So keep your shotguns safely tucked away if you see anyone skulking about your mailbox, it's just me! lol

Yesterday on the way back from FL to GA I went to Hobby Lobby in Tigertown on I-85 near Auburn to get supplies for my recipient's ornament. It was closed. Sign on the door said it was closed so that their employees can go to church.
I go to church too, but I'm not there all day.:roll:
Couldn't get a Chick-Fil-A either, but I've known that for decades.;-) BTW there is a drive-thru Starbucks at Tigertown. It was packed --lots of AU flags on vehicles (wonder why? :lol:). The only other drive-thru Starbucks I've ever seen is in the same shopping center as the Disco Kroger in ATL. 😀

I actually think quite highly of any business that is willing to close on Sunday for the benefit of it's employees. Nice contrast to the vampire companies opening on Thanksgiving!

An early Black Friday opening is practically an American Tradition. It still allows families to enjoy each others company on the actual holiday. I believe opening on Thanksgiving itself is nothing but hapless greed. Some might find it convenient to shop then, but such convience comes at the cost of lost holiday memories of those forced to work. Screw such convience.

Sorry I'm missing out!! I have been so dang busy with remodeling (slab leak) and the kids I probably would not have been very creative anyways. Can't wait so see pictures of everybody's ornaments!!!! :wave:
