She led the drive against the nomination of Murkowski. These results are a repudiation of her principals, which are abhorrent, yet have gained widespread acceptance, by all but those most familiar with her.

It's really pretty unfortunate, Murkowski is a total porker just like Stevens, and she has few convictions or principals. Miller was an excellent candidate with solid principals, but he was undone in the end by the democrats in the state.

(Thankfully the democrats failed to do the same in Florida! 😀)

If the Alaska folks wanted her why didn;t they vote for her on the first go round? It just doesn't make sense...but she will play with the Republicans...so no big deal. As far as Sarah goes...glad you are still interested in watching and keeping up with her. I know she appreciates all of your interest in her.

Rubio? She supported him, even campaigned for him down here. But I think it had little effect, people didn't want Crist or Meek. We made the right choice. Alaska did not.

I don't put Rubio in the same category as Palin, Odonnell, Angle, or Miller.

The Miller loss was a little surprising. OTOH Murkowski's Dad supplied her with a pretty strong political machine and it came through.

The GOP was never going to take Delaware. It is too much of a big business/big labor state to ever be anything except Democrat. The GOP really dislikes small business but the Democrats have a deep-seated and complete hatred of it.

The bad thing about Angle losing is that it meant Reid won. They don't make politicians anywhere with less concern about ethics than Reid.
