There are no retired Army Lt. Col.'s who are an embarrassment. There may be some who, according to some, are completely misdirected. As was said earlier, it is his right to be arrogant, ignorant, opinionated just as it is by many on this forum. The only difference is, he laid his life on the line to do so and some here haven't. That, BTW, does not mean any American has less of a right to express themseives than another. Only that many have contributed more than others for the right to do so.

That does not mean that one does not respect the uniform or the service to the country.....but it doesn't mean that because of that they should be placed on a pedestal.

He has every bit as much right to act as a damn fool as you do. It is because he is a legal citizen.

My computer has been down so I couldn't answer this question though I don't know why it is relevant to anything. No, I enlisted in the USAF but there is a very long story as to why which I shall not go into now. I had already been in the Navy for a period of time prior to my enlistment in the AF.

IMO respect is something that is earned. Members of the military have all earned my respect for the sacrifices they have made on behalf of our country, but it does not give them a lifelong pass for idiocy or crime.

My little boy is home sick today. I crave Chicago Hot Dogs and Dr. Pepper. The last year went by faster than any other in my life. I love my dog. I wear flip flops most of the time. I need to get back to working out and eating clean. I think several of the animated movies in 3D (Avatar, Megamind and Tangled- to name a few) are absolute masterpieces. This is my last post on these matters.

Mine is an opinion, not a win or not win situation - you tend to put things into that context and I doubt that you even realize you do it. That is why you find yourself saying "this is the last I say on the matter."
Do you realize how often you sorta stomp out, taking your toys and go home? Think about it ... that's what it looks like to me - not sure about others.
