Elisabeth Edwards has died 12/7/10

She deserved a better outcome.

May she and her loved ones have peace. She showed herself to be a class act.

From everything I read and heard about her I think dignity is the adjective that comes to my mind. We could use more people like her in this world.

So sad - may she rest in peace.

She was in one of my classes when I was in school in Chapel Hill, N.C. What I remember back then was that she was intimidatingly bright, and very friendly.

Talk about a contrast in character...I just had CNN on, Larry King's show led with the Elizabeth Edwards story. He played video of her on his show taped after she and John had split, and she was saying she kind of cringed thinking about her time of dying being a time John Edwards would be pasted for his shortcomings. She opined that he had to answer for his errors, but he had to remain a good father in his kid's eyes, and she said that he had been a very good father in so many ways.

Cut to commercial and with the next segment on comes Wesley Snipes and his lawyer (dressed like a pimp or gangster), Snipes whining that he will not be allowed to stay out of jail a few more weeks for tax fraud, so he could spend Christmas with his kids and family, "to get them ready" for his being sent to (I suspect a cushy pen) somewhere for a few years, how he was framed/mistreated/victimized, etc, blahblahblah. Never mind he has known for weeks that he will be reporting to jail...

One lady faces her premature mortality and remains so dignified and one man whines as he has to serve his time for being a cheat. I had to turn the wackyvision off.

The best bet is to simply ignore them, hopefully the media won't even film them. They're just media whores that will picket anything to make news.

I can't remember the exact details but a week or so back I heard that a number of people in a town where these idiots were going to protest (I guess that is what you call their activity) literally formed a human wall and blocked them from coming within eye or shouting distance of a funeral. I hope it happens again.

As to Westboro, I refuse to call them a church, someone is going to eventually step up and whip their butts and I hope its soon.
