It's called the "If You See Something, Say Something" campaign.
Basically it encourages the customers of Wal-Mart to be vigilant in their suspicions of fellow citizens.

In Wal-Mart you arouse suspicion if your butt crack isn't showing.
.....Or if your horns and tail are showing!

The given here is that everything Wal-Mart sells is made in some third world poo-puddle (except for all the items on Scooterbug's shopping list, save the soap peddler's products!). Therefore, said poo-puddle gets a bit less murkier when slave wage jobs are available to the puddle, since poo puddles generally don't have much in the way of jobs anyway. It is well recognized that Wal Mart and their evil allies actually lift children and adults alike out of sexual slavery and similar oppression...could it be, just maybe, that the modest wages that otherwise idle (the idle mind is Iblis's playground, after all) young poo puddlers earn while working keep them from wandering away to training camps to learn skills like, I don't know, making bombs?
There, I said it. Wal Mart is all that stands between us and a bloodbath. Wal Mart shoppers are the true patriots! Keep your eyes open, Wal Mart shoppers!

Wal Mart netted 14 billion plus in 2009. Their employees are the working poor.
And if there was no Wal-Mart, all the investors that post on this board would not make as much money(great time to buy JOE) & all those working poor that work at Wal-Mart would be unemployed.

I was going to make that point as well. If Wal-Mart wasn't hiring Medicaid recipients, who would? Granted, offering healthcare would be a good thing. But crapping on WM because they offer jobs to low income, hard to employ workers is misguided.

Wow first one gets insulted for shopping at Walmart now we get insulted for working there.
During college, in a small town, Walmart was the only place that would hire college students seasonally.
The local Mom and Pop stores would not, most hired friends and family and Walmart paid better.
Wal-mart the corporation might be the evil many protray it as, but then so are most large corporations, but the individual stores are staffed by many hard working, decent people. People who would never look down their nose on someone because of where they shop.
I tell you the Walmart discussions really bring out the ugly side of some people.

You have that completely backwards, first you work at Wal-Mart and then you get on Medicaid and food stamps. If you don't know how, don't worry your friendly HR person at Wal-Mart has a pamphlet to walk you through it.

On a side note we had to go to Home Depot tonight. I was alert and called in the gentleman wearing shorts, clearly not from around here and suspicious.

Was he wearing knee high black socks? That would be a Snowbird jihadist; they are skilled at making explosives from sweet and low.

A lot of things are not made in the US, but have a competitor who still makes them here.
Many of the items in my house are made in the US, because it's a priority for me.
I eat off Corelle plates.
I mix, measure, and store with Pyrex.
I cook with All-clad, Calphalon, and Magnalite.
I drink tap water out of a Nalgene water bottle.
I sleep on Company Store pillows.
I ride a Trek bicycle.
My toiletries are by Burt's Bees, Soap Peddler, Dial, Aveda, Tampax, and Proctor and Gamble.
My dishwasher is a Whirlpool.
I cook on a Weber grill with Kingsford charcoal.
It takes a little effort/research, but you can still find most items made in the USA.
Even when people like yourself attempt to buy only products produced in the USA, it is nearly impossible, unless you live low on the land, making your own things and growing or eating locally grown foods only.
Unless your TREK bicycle is a higher-end OCLV
carbon fiber bike, it is likely made in Taiwan or China, according to Trek. Also, it is likely that all the components (derailer, shifters, brackets, crankset, chain, sprockets, wheels, tires, gears, seat, brakes, frame, handbars, sprocket, pedals, etc) are made overseas.
Sure, there are some things for which you may have an American-made choice, but there are more without any, or very few American-made alternatives. Some things that quickly come to mind are iPods, cell phones, computers, printers, modems, TVs, radios and electronics components for your automobile.
Good for you for trying to keep jobs in the USA!

When I occasionly shop at Walmart or Target, I'm usually buying the exact same brands which I regularly buy at Publix, just at a much cheaper price. If my purchase choices at Walmart are sending jobs oversees, call me guilty when I shop at Target and Publix, too.

Let's say Wal Mart sources their products from Nigeria, because captured combatants can be chained to machinery and ordered to make t shirts and nascar hats. Bentonville then discovers that non violent criminals on work release will work for less than minimum wage so the rollbacks continue. At what point do you call out a corporation that has no sense of right and wrong, that treats it's employees as modern day serfs, so that you may buy 5 lb bags of sam's cheese puffs for 2.99 and adult diapers for a buck less than publix? Wal mart is betting your self interest in saving money will trump their scorched earth merchandising. So far, greed wins.

I guess the perfect world order that was in place prior to Wal Mart going public in 1972 really did go to hell in a blue hand basket.
See you on aisle 5, Bob:wave:

Now this video is worth a look. It looks like Wal Mart and the evil multinationals have really turned the screws to the developing world. Wow!

If Walmart is so evil, I guess many of the name brands you buy in Publix are also evil. They sell many of the same goods, exact same! Frito lay chips sold at Walmart are made by the same people that make the Frito Lay chips sold in Publix. Do we really have to go down the entire list of every product that Walmart retails to wake you up? From TVs to pizzas, most items sold in Walmart the very same products you buy outside of Walmart. Even Walmart branded foods, are produced in the same factories as name brands -- from green beans to peanut butter.

Let me say this, for what it is worth. I know two people, one who used to work for Publix, one works for Wal-Mart. Both had health issues, both were looking for workplace accommodation. I assure you, Publix pitched a much more high and tight hardball than did Wal-Mart and in fact, the Wal Mart employee continues to happily work for Sam, while the Publix employee is gone. By the way, Sam's employee had a Blue Cross policy, not medicaid. Exceptional case? Maybe, maybe not, just what I have seen personally.
