Surprised to see no one brought this up. I wish the rest of the country made no mention of Sarah Palin when she acts out.
I have been suspicious for a while but have finally concluded that she isn't for real. She's totally messing with all of us because she profits from the attention.
That said- any brave supporters of her care to defend or at least try to help the rest of us make sense out of her latest remarks.
Also, does anyone believe this could sink her?

Not sure why anyone feels the need to defend themselves at not being able to turn their head to the occasional train wreck, and hoping it's it's last ride and no one was hurt.
I totally agree. Can't blame anyone for tuning in - and it is important.

Commentary: The lesson Christina Taylor Green's life left us | McClatchy
Pitts is one of my favorite columnists...he is usually right to the point. One of the most inflamatory labels to me is that if we do not agree with someone, then we are not a "real" American. What right does anyone have to decide who is or is not a "real" American?
Media empires have been built and political careers advanced upon a kind of violent, proudly extremist rhetoric that has less to do with elucidating philosophical differences than with demonizing them, stoking division through hatred and fear of the other, whether the other be Mexican, Muslim, gay or a dreaded liberal. There is, we have been repeatedly told, a difference between people like that and ``real'' Americans.
Something to keep in mind as we mourn the dead, among them a 9-year-old girl who aspired to help the less fortunate. On the day she was born, we remembered something important about ourselves.
It was long forgotten by the day she died.

"That said, Phillips' attempt at a pre-emptive defense suggests a certain guilt of conscience, a tacit acknowledgement that political discourse in this country has become a national disgrace, hateful, poisonous and coarse. And that the tea party movement bears a lion's share of the onus for that. And that if the movement did not cause Saturday's tragedy, it did create the atmosphere that made such a tragedy feel . . . inevitable.
It was not the seed, but it was the soil."

Did I mention that she's a narcissistic idiot?
She is a divider and not a leader. She also would score off the chart for NPD. I cannot recall one instance where she has said she was sorry or has acted with humility. Her behavior is textbook. Five out the nine below is enough for a positive dx.
1. An exaggerated sense of self-importance (e.g., exaggerates achievements and talents, expects to be recognized as superior without commensurate achievements)
2. Preoccupation with fantasies of unlimited success, power, brilliance, beauty, or ideal love.
3. Believes he is "special" and can only be understood by, or should associate with, other special or high-status people (or institutions)
4. Requires excessive admiration.
5. Has a sense of entitlement.
6. Selfishly takes advantage of others to achieve his own ends.
7. Lacks empathy.
8. Is often envious of others or believes that others are envious of him.
9. Shows arrogant, haughty, patronizing, or contemptuous behaviors or attitudes.

If I may make an observation it seems that her defenders have done more than her detractors to perpetrate the mythical link between the tragic events and Ms. Palin's words and actions. They have done so by falsely accusing her critics of making such a link. I have seen very little of this in actuality. I have seen her accused of putting up an innappropriate web site. This accusation is certainly not false. It was inevitable that the attempted assassination of one of her targets would put her web site into the spotlight regardless of any cause-effect relationship between the two. How could it not?

Might I digress from the topic at hand.....Jesus. I am so glad you
befriended me here on Sowal.com. Your words are thoughtful and very pure. I am proud to say I have a friend in Jesus, and he appears to be left of center. I rejected you for much of my
secular life. I am just so glad I found Sowal.com, and thus you as
well. Praise be.
