last year I went to a Cinco De Mayo party in my old neighborhood...that party was photographed by SL...it was an over the top party for sure! The hosts gave everyone a sombrero to decorate and bring to the party...my 2 hats are on page 120...the one with the little hats( no relation to the Beach bumm hat...😀 ),chili peppers and those little shaker things...the other one is beside it with the blue & green margarita glasses...Kurt one of the hats in the group has a "sinko de gamecocks" sign on it...:floor: I'll bring it with me and all can see my famous hats...:funn:

We call the "friends I've never seen" our "imaginary friends". When I went to Indy to see Mermaid and Peapod, I told anyone that asked where I was going that I was going to visit my imaginary friends......:clap_1:

My hubby used to call you guys my imaginary friends until he met the Texgent girls in personn (and Mr. DD)..... now he gets it!!! I can't wait until October, maybe he and I can meet some more of my imaginary friends!!! :lol:

Just one word........................KIDS!!!!!! Boy, their activities and laundry and last minute school projects are keeping me from having any funn!!! Just kidding I am having funn with them. I just don't seem to have any time left over to talk to my very best Sowal buds!!! How are you? I can't wait until summer! Only two weeks of school and I'm free!!!!!!!!!!!!! Well kindof....free

Man, us empty nesters lead such boring lives compared to you young 'uns. Let's see, I spent yesterday in my pj's watching HGTV and Food Network. Had granddaughter #1 over Friday night and part of yesterday. Cleaned today, went for a Sunday drive with daughter and grandson. Went out to dinner with mr. dd tonite.

Hey..... I think its all you empty nesters that are having ALL the funn around here!!!!!! I want to spend a day in my PJ's watching HGTV and Food Network!!!! :clap_1: I want to head out for SoWal and party all day and all night and meet everyone!!!! Where did you guys have dinner tonight?

I just looked at booking a flight to Sowal for New Years Eve..Just the hubby and me! This could be mucho FUNN!!!! You should do the same!!!! 😀

Now there's an idea...what kinda fares? When I was so bored today, (mr. dd was on the golf course, of course), I had this fleeting thought that I would do just that, and drive down there and surprise everyone tomorrow night. But, alas, I have such an important job:funn: that I didn't think I could pull it off....:( Besides, I'd have to take out a loan for gas $$$!

Not too bad.... less than $600 for the two of us round trip. (I think it would be well worth it!) I want to talk to Miss Kitty to see which airport is better to fly into from Dallas.

Did I hear Texgent....let's go!!! CoS...I would prefer to fly into Panama City, but the only direct flight from DFW is to VPS (that I know of!). We prefer to bypass the ATL when possible. Yes...NYE in SoWal...we are there!!! :clap_1: CoS...that's wonderful to hear that y'all will be there...come on the rest of you gulls!!!

Absolutely! SL will have a travel article or a food article about 30A and the area about once a year or so, so they sure know about the place. And I see where the town of Seaside is doing some pretty regular advertising in there every month. Maybe we don't want quite so much publicity, though??:idontno:

Texgent.... absolutely!!!!! Lets do it NOW!!! Miss Kitty.. you know I prefer direct flights....since I really Hate to fly... but if it gets me to where I want to be ASAP... I guess I can suffer (if I drink a few bloody mary's) ;-)
