This hateful mob is protesting outside of a harmless Muslim charity fundraising event in Orange County, CA back in February. It was an American Muslim relief organization raising money for women?s shelters, homeless, and hunger relief.
I feel sure that the huge majority of Orange County residents do not feel this way, most teapartiers do not approve, and most representatives would not be associated with anything like this. YET here is more than a hundred hatemongers gathered in dispicable protest. Where on earth do these idiots come from?! It makes me sick..........

There are always small minded idiots that can be easily riled up.
What concerns me is that people like a US congressman are publicly involved too.
Says a lot about discrimination against Muslims and what is going on in this country.

Just in case anyone is actually curious about why this happened and does not want to form his/her opinion based on some clever dude who knows how to edit a video. He/she can go to the Deborah Pauly Facebook page.
If you think think it is bias to go to her Facebook page then ask yourself a question. If she is willing to publicly go against Islam in a speech, why wouldn't she on her Facebook page?

Statement from Deborah Pauley:
Obviously this 5-minute clip, which has sparked all the controversy, is highly edited and distorts the truth by taking everything out of context.
Of course I am not advocating violence against Muslims or anybody. I support the United States Constitution and the 1st Amendment Rights to Freedom of Speech, Assembly and Religion ? that includes all religions?or the right to practice no religion at all.
I have Muslim friends and went to their defense, aid and comfort when they were being undeservedly targeted after the 9-11 attacks.
We were not protesting a fundraiser, or the rights of peaceful moderate Muslims to assemble.
I am concerned about political Islamists -- a radical element that does advocate violence and terrorism around the globe. They have brought the threat of Sharia Law inside our borders. Sharia is a threat to American freedoms and liberties, specifically the practice of punishing people for speaking their minds freely.
We were protesting the invited and publicized keynote speakers to that event. We call on all Muslims to condemn this radical element and distance themselves from its leaders.

Your defense is "that was tricky editing - we weren't protesting the event, just the attendees"?

After looking into the keynote speakers that were speaking at this fundraiser, I wish I was there protesting with them.
Meet AMIR-ABDEL MALIK-ALI
He is radical.
There's a lot of stuff written about how he supports terrorists, but that could all be biased so lets ask him what he supports.
This is him answering questions on the UC-Irivine campus.
The part I'm interested in starts at 1:00 minute.
Question: Do you support Hezbollah
Answer: Yes
Question: Do you support Islamic Jihad?
Answer: Yes
This is the worst.
Question: Do you support Jihad on this campus?
Answer: Yes
I understand that Jihad does not necessarily mean violent actions, but this man publicly supports Hezbollah, which according to our government is a terrorist organization.

Sounds similar to the "defense" that Westboro Baptist would use for their protest....;-)

Not to nitpick, but the US government classified Nelson Mandela as a terrorist too. ;-)

I guess in the 70's when South Africa's ruling class ruled the African National Congress a terrorist organization and most countries did the same thing, technically Nelson Mandela was a terrorist.
It was an embarrassing situation and was fixed by Secretary Rice during the Bush administration. I suppose we were wrong then but I have a feeling we are right about Hezbollah.
As a nation, we typically support Israel, and this guy wants to see it cease to exist.
Not to mention he called for Jihad on a college campus.

No... I'm pretty sure the Westboro Babtist Church does not hide what they are protesting. They are pretty straightforward that we are all going to hell.

I don't have a problem with him calling for jihad on a college campus - mainly because I know what the word actually means.
"Jihad is an effort to practice religion in the face of oppression and persecution. The effort may come in fighting the evil in your own heart, or in standing up to a dictator. Military effort is included as an option, but as a last resort and not "to spread Islam by the sword" as the stereotype would have one believe."
Since the speaker said it at an event being protested, I think it fits. ;-)

Just to point out, I said in my original post that I understood what the word means.
But this guy supports organizations that use Jihad, not as "a struggle," but as an excuse for violence against westerners and Israelites.

Meet another speaker for this "Charity event".
SIRAJ WAHHAJ
I guess this guy doesn't hate America, he just wants Muslims to take it over. Whatever that means.
In 1992 he said.
He is widely thought to be an unindicted co-conspirator in the 1993 WTC bombing. During the trial he stated.

[T]ake my word, if 6-8 million Muslims unite in America, the country will come to us.

And he [Allah] declared ?Whoever is at war with my friends, I declare war on them.' Who is a friend of Allah? [He chants a passage in Arabic] Allah. Your true friend is Allah, the messenger, and those who believe. Americans and Canadians. Hear it well. Hear what I'm telling you well. The Americans are not your friends, hear what I'm telling you, hear it well. The Canadians are not your friends, hear what I'm telling you, hear it well. The Europeans are not your friends. Your friend is Allah, the Messenger and those who believe. These people will never be satisfied with you until you follow their religion. They will never be satisfied with you?"

And so was the leader of Israel who invaded Lebanon in 1982 ........... which is why Hezbollah was formed.
(I'm not a Hezbollah fan, just having fun pointing out it's never black and white)

An expert on Sharia law answers questions: (Abed Awad is a New Jersey-based attorney who regularly handles cases that involve Islamic law. He is a member of the adjunct faculties at Rutgers Law School and Pace Law School.) Seems Ms Pauley might not need to be in such fear of losing her freedoms and liberty, due to the threat of Sharia law anyway.
The radical element/extremists in all groups can cause trouble and to me the original video posted showed a small radical element shouting bigoted, unchristian, hateful venom at American citizens. Let's say the "fundraiser" had speakers who were radical in some's view, does that make the idiot crowd protesting them in that vile manner right? Legal maybe, but totally disgusting and bigoted non-the-less.
What sharia law actually means
The right wants to ban it in America, but do they even know what it is?
