My 16 year old son: "So, MOM, what do you want for mother's day?"
Me: "Peace, quiet, and a clean house"
Him: "No, I meant like for breakfast."

Hilarious. You get a trashed kitchen first thing on Mother's Day!!! Just stay in bed.

Dad cooked breakfast on Mother's Day, but we did all the clean-up, serving, etc. then we spent hours getting her gardens in shape and planting the flats of annuals we gave her.

Cards, gifts, manual labor, everything her way, and no whining or fighting. Tell that to your kids.

He did modify it with offers of coffee and free kayak setup first thing in the morning so I can effortlessly paddle out.

well, that's good enough.

if our kids gave us the perfect mother's day we would probably worry and get bored real fast.
