I guess all of you wish to ignore that historically tax cuts bring an increase in government revenue.

As part of the group that will be paying these taxes, I am willing to give it a chance. Something has got to give. But, I will be major po'ed if there are not any intelligent cuts in spending as 30Ashopper stated.

The problem is that Congress views any rise in revenue as an invitation to crank up the spending.

So we don't let them spend more. Problem solved.

I am very glad it is now just "Current Events" Ms. Kitty..politically speaking, there has been a core audience of about 3 or 4 Righty Republicans kvetching with 3 or 4 Lefty Democrats, back and forth, back and forth, over and over... oh yea,..and there is one very bright Libertarian also.]

So I am now deducing that all Politics are actually Events also? I think Sowal.com, and the powers that be, should go the next step-let ALL threads in Current Events only last one day, then trashed them at midnight, at that point they will no longer be current or fresh..beside they just get more monotonous and off track the longer they get played, like a broken record, er, CD, uh or Ipod.

I agree with you to a point. One day is ridiculous, IMO. On the other hand, you are absolutely right about who is posting here on "current events" and the back and forth gets monotonous. Therefore, open this forum and see if it changes. I am one of those on the right and have pretty much given up posting on national issues because of the lack of participation in the "current events" forum. Expression of opinion should always be open and subject to question. Here, it isn't, other than by the same old few.
