Oh...and after you defriend them make sure that your privacy settings are such that only people you want to be able to see your info can see it. That's a good rule, regardless...

oh, that is so crazy! I can't imagine. but I would not hesitate to defriend or worse - report to fb and even make a warning post to my friends. definitely check your security settings.

A guy I accepted a friendship with showed up NAKED and lets just say very alert one morning in his profile pic. I spit my coffee out, then I blocked him. He pulled a Weiner. :lol::lol::lol:

Without going into a bunch of crap...I just want to pass this on. Please do not do as I did and accept a friend request because the person is well known in our community. Even in "Paradise" there are some who are not quite all there. I have been stalked, harrassed and spoken to on the phone at 12:30 a.m. by this person. Didn't realize I was being stalked until they started asking questions on my wall about family and friends. Just saying....be careful!

I am very naive about the good in people....but even that's wearing thin now.

Thanks Teresa....already de-friended, but was told to be careful as she is vindictive with a capital V! At least I printed out all of her postings to me. I've contacted AT&T and if it goes any further, since she works in the public, I'm sure her employer would not be happy to hear all about it! I've had it with people who want to harass, tell lies and sneak around using the computer. I know it's done all the time, but I will not stand for someone messing with my family.....especially if comes back to hurt my daughter. I know you would be a Momma Bear too!

Florida does have a cyber stalking law and there's always the magic of a restraining order.

That said I don't friend anyone I don't know, just because we have 900 mutual friends doesn't mean I know someone or will get along with them.

That's a real shame - it is your nature not to believe anyone could act out that way. But, I am not surprised it happened. A friend of mine has had a "Fatal Attraction" type of FB stalker. It got so bad and the stalker was going to her friend list and writing all her friends (including me), found her home address via an online obituary even, and made her life miserable. I have since made it where only a friend can message me, I have it where no one can even see my friend list when they look at my wall, and no one can just write on my wall (they can comment, but not just show up with some link or crazy post as I don't check it daily) I have no personal info other than 'married and birthday' (w/out year as I read NOT to put the year up for security reasons) Paranoid? Yep, but that's facebook!

Thanks I've changed ALL my privacy settings. If it works great, if it doesn't then I need to get off of fb.

I do know there are "Cyber" laws in Florida. Just watch a tiny bit of the Casey Anthony case and you will get an idea what people can do and find when they get hold of your computer.
