Please do!! I need help. I'm sooo out of the loop and really don't want to embarrass myself by wearing some dreaded thing with shoulder pads. I have noticed those shoes/boot things with feathers and fur and all kinds of crap around the ankles.
And, since Kimmi has deserted us, I need y'all to chime in. Kitty, Mermy, Punzy, where are all our fashionistas?

I need to know about lipstick--which colors are good, which ones are so last year? Which ones really last? I like the color stay ones for lasting, but hate the "feel" of them and having to re-apply that gloss all the time.

Lotions: I know we've beat this horse several times. Any really good new ones? My skin's still dry as Texas. I know I need to drink more water, but what water we have here tastes like sheet. Try to stay away from bottled.

Hair: I couldn't wait. Had it did on Saturday. Less blonde, layered. Not sure I love it.

I'll take all suggestions, advice and wives tales.:wave:

What is fashionable and what looks good on you are very different things for the majority of the population. Do not get sucked in. Look at what the designers send down the runway and then look at what they choose to wear themselves. Typically what they choose to wear are classic colors and the cuts that they know are the most flattering to their body type.

My new moisturizer of choice is plain shea nut butter. Takes it from flaky or cracked to smooth and happy in one overnight application.

What you say is true, sb. I notice they don't wear that crap.
Will give the snb a try. I've got a ton of stuff that works "okay", but nothing that makes me go.."wow".

Why worry about what everybody else thinks? Just be yourself and be comfortable!! You have had years of practice doing that so why stop now????? This from a jeans or shorts and tee shirt guy!:clap:

I like to know what is new in fashion but I only buy what I like, whether it is fashionable or looks good or not. actually, I only wear jeans so that's easy. (not the skinny ones, though I do like straight leg, or boot cut, depending). I want comfy, and something I like - I don't care who else likes it! If I like it, it looks good (if only in my mind).

I have shopped for boots for years and can't find any I really really love and will really really wear! I'll keep shopping for those.

I've decided I want BIG hair like you DD. Not big and tall. Just fluffy (bob short). using the diffuser and letting it go wild. its the new look for me - but I don't know or care what the new look is in the real world.

Skin care: I use absolutely no moisturizer. but I do use other products such as obagi, rentina, etc. plus get monthly facials. the idea is healthy skin with no need for moisturizer. I didn't believe it til I started this skin care thing about 8 years ago. haven't bought moisturizer since. ok, I do use an aveda moisturizing tint for base but I use so little it hardly counts.

Lipstick? I love what feels good only. and I don't like much color, but I know a lot of women friends do, and it looks great on them.

I love Trish McElvoy lipsticks (a little color with gloss/moisturizing feel). I would love to hear about favorite lipsticks from others...

Ali had a good lipstick the other night that not only stayed on me and didn't make me feel like sawdust lips, but that I didn't smear all over.
