Ft Worth Arts Goggle is Saturday 10/8 from 5-10pm, my hub's leather and pearl work will be at the Cowtown Marathon office at 1612 Park Place Ave. Fort Worth, TX 76110. Native Pearls is his business name. He's half Choctaw Indian-hence the name! If you're free, I hope you can come. We've been attending for years and we've always had a great time, tons of artists, musicians, lots of great places to eat along Magnolia: Benitos Mexican food-best guac ever and hot pico ever!! Lili's Bistro, Cat City Grill, Mamma Mia's, Ellerbee's Fine Foods, Yucatan Taco Stand and Tequila Bar-a lot like Fuzzy's taco shop but with great tequila choices!

DD what time are you going? I would love to meet you there if I can get away. Connor has a hockey tournament at Valley Ranch all day and I am volunteering all day but maybe I can get away and join you for a little while. Text me or give me a shout on the cell. :cool:

What time will you be free? I don't have a schedule. I can wait til later if need be. Looks like it starts at 5.

We usually park on a side street off Magnolia and do that section and then move our car over on the side street by Finn McCool's Bar and walk back up to Park Place. You can walk over to Park Place from Magnolia, it's a few blocks. See ya'll then and let's hope the rain stays away for the evening-no rain for months and now we've a chance of rain on Saturday of all days!! I'm hoping it rains that morning or late that night after the Arts Goggle!

I'll gladly walk in the rain!!! I checked out the area today when I was in FW. Got my parking spot scoped out!

Scouting ahead is always good! I'm excited, his jewelry is so great, his workmanship is very neat and clean and precise. I've actually learned how to do a few things and have helped some this week with some of the braiding work, I can't prep the pearls nor do the end pieces but I've got one form of braiding down so when you see the more unisex pieces, those were mostly by me!!! I'm so not crafty so I'm really impressed with myself!

BTW, ate at the Cat City Grill while I was down there yesterday---it was great!!! (I had the chicken fried steak).

DD, thanks so much for coming out last night! The turn out was really low due to the weather and probably the Rangers play off game as well but we had lots of good friends and family that came out to support the debut of Native Pearls! I hope you enjoy your necklace and bracelet! Have a great trip to the beach!!

It was my pleasure!!! Native Pearls are great and I'm so excited! It was so much funn visiting with you!! The rain was a bummer for y'all but a blessing for our poor earth. I'll come again to the next show--just let me know. You're too cute and had lots of good travel tips!!

I'll update when Steve gets his website up and running and for his next show. We're going to scout a show Thanksgiving weekend in Galveston I think-it's no trip to SoWal but it's better than nothing!

I am scoping out rentals in case I can make it down for a few days tied to my Jackson trip!

Sorry I couldn't make it. I had to volunteer at my sons hockey showcase all weekend. I was bummed I was unable to meet up with you girls! I would love to see your husbands website too!

Hi Castles, would have loved to have met you in real life, too! We need a DFW SoWallers happy hour sometime!!

Steve hasn't had time to get his website up and running yet but we do have a Facebook page with pictures of most of his work, we're going to work on getting the remaining pictures up later today.

If you're on Facebook, friend Native Pearls-because I set the page up and wasn't thinking I set it up as a regular account not a business account but I really didn't want to start it over so you have to friend it rather than like it.
