I survived this weekend as well. Planned on doing some cleaning and culling in guest bedroom closet. Went in the little used room and discovered there had been a slow water leak from the attic into the closet. We have a mess. It wasn't the AC unit, as suspected, but an OLD copper pipe that had been used for a humidifier back way before my day. The shut off valve had slowly disentegrated over time. Had the water damage guy come and assess. AT 9 am, plumber comes along with a crew to demo floor, walls and ceiling. Then they bring in the machines to dehumidify for 4 days. My patio looked like a garage sale...lost some clothes and washed and washed the rest. Heck of a way to clean out a closet!

So Sorry. :( The joys of being a home owner.:bang: Looks like your aren't finished redecorating just yet. Aren't you supposed to get on a big boat soon and sail the Alaskian waters? Now might be a good time to hop aboard and when you get back everything will be as good as new.

:lol: Thanks for all the good wishes. They are tearing out the ceilings as we speak. Molly is barking because I have her locked up in the kitchden. I am waiting for the plumber to come find where this dam* tube comes from and get it out of here! At least it is the guest room and bath...right?

Yes, that is a good point. However; I would still need therapy after all the dog barking, people hammering, clothes mildewing hoopla mess that's going on at your house! :blink:
