Mr. Mango and I have multiple fireworks events we are involved with. One is over a lake, and my husband has built a float for the fireworks, and his own design remote detonator that you can push the buttons on and it will fire 6 different ports from 1000 ft. away!
I am now in charge of the music choreography (and ground blooms :floor: )
I don't touch the heavy artillery. 😱
Of course the 1812 Overture will be for the finale, I got the Washington Post March, God Bless America by Celine ( although I am getting the Boo Hah on that one  )
Looked around and can't find any other patriotic music that doesn't sound like a Marching Band, so I am going with contemporary fillers.
Need some ideas for upbeat music, something I can download from Itunes into my fireworks software.
NO, we do not do this for a living! ;-)

No Country :whack:
No kidding. Thunder over Louisville went with a country music theme this year, and it was awful.. Does not go with fireworks- it just doesn't. Got thumbs down on all fronts, even country music lovers said it didn't work.
The Lee Greenwood song is patriotic enough that it might work if a small part is used, but not the whole song.

Willie, Hank, George, and Patsy do not go with fireworks. Most other country is worse than Celine Dion.

Dikki Du sounds interesting, but someone will have to let me hear them if they are around when I come down in October. They are a local band?

You don't need any music for fireworks. They weren't doing much singing on those battlefields when the bombs were going off. IMHO, I think we are way too distracted on these drinking holidays to really get the feel for that which they represent. ;-)😀

Uh, where do you think the Star Spangled Banner came from?
"On Sept. 14, 1814, Francis Scott Key peered through clearing smoke to see an enormous flag flying proudly after a 25-hour British bombardment of Baltimore's Fort McHenry. Key was inspired to write a poem, which was later set to music." ;-)
We don't drink on 4th- since we have a permit to handle fireworks.
Patriotic music enhances the effects and overall feel of what the day means.

Usually go by Boat down the Hudson with some friends, but they nixed it this year due to gas costs. Besides, why do that when I have Grucci fireworks here? I'll be taping that one this year. Thats' the best seat in the house.
Beats fighting smelly people and drunk crowds.

I got a stack of Grandstands tickets right here...OOOH- now THAT could change things!! Are you razzing me?
Seriously, you could put me on the podium, and I STILL wouldn't venture into NYC on 4th of July!
The big party where having is about 150 people or so on July 3rd.
Thats when the heavy artillery will come out and 7 men will be lighting the mortars etc.
Pool party and cueing all day- you should come up here to Mahopac.

And, since we are in the middle of this war, it might touch a few hearts out in the audience if you represented each military service:
Anchors Away (Navy)
Semper Fideles (Marines)
The Marine's Hymn (think Gomer Pyle)
Can't think of the Army's and any of the others. Sorry.
Yankee Doodle Dandy (you gotta have that)
Great music makes or breaks a fireworks display! Good luck!

LTB. Anyway, saw a choreographed fireworks show in Tampa and they ended with that one and the crowd went wild.
