my sis called me at work about 11 and said she had a lot less pain that she did the first time around, was just a little sore at the incision, but nothing she couldn't live with. i will post pics after i see her on friday. i think my nephew will be pretty jealous at first, he told sarah last night he didn't like her because she was too little. i think he was expecting a playmate his own size...:blink:

It took Jackson several weeks before he would even touch Delaney. He didn't want anything to do with her. Everyone was wanting pictures of them together and he would kinda freak out. If your nephew is like that I would just suggest don't push it, he'll come around in his own time. Delaney is 5 months old now and that's all he talks about. He loves her so much, it's really cute.

When Dylan was born, I think Sam thought he was her little doll baby. I had to really watch her closely. The thing I remember most? I would just get Dylan to sleep and she would walk over and shake the bassinet to wake him up. :roll: Oh, that was frustrating!! :banging:

when mom and pop went to pic the nephew up yesterday, he asked if they had to take the screaming baby with them, and mom told him she was staying home. benton said "we better take her with us, she might miss me" man do i love that kid !

My nephew responded well to Alex in the hospital, and still does at home, but he started acting out in school to seek more attention. He's been lavished with as much attention as possible, but the baby also is colicky, not getting nough sleep, and thus my sister has had less time to spend with Steven. He's adjusting better now, but the past 9 weeks have been less than rosy.

Audie: my sister had a gift from Alex to Steven when he was born- and that also helps in making things a little more realistic for the older child.
She also started a good behavior sticker rewards incentive for my nephew, so if he is good one day - he gets acknowledged with the attention and if he gets enough stickers he gets to play a video game, or reward of his choice.
This has worked out positively for them.

i will have to tell my sis about the rewards stickers - sounds like a good idea - thanks for the suggestion. somehow i don't think benton is gonna be hurting for attention any.:funn:
