First Day of School

Dylan started 4th grade today and Sam had her first day of middle school yesterday. (7th grade) She loved it. :clap_1: I'm doubting I'll get the same reaction from Dylan today.:roll:

Thanks, her first day was yesterday (they let the 7th graders go a day before everyone else) and then Mr OL took a another pic of them together today. Sam is counting down the days to get contacts. She's been in a nearsighted study the past 3 years and has been commited to glasses. The 3 years are up in the spring.

Thanks everyone for your nice comments, they really are great kids. We are blessed. Sam has almost caught up with me in height. She's 5'6". I'm 5'8" and Mr OL is 6'4" so slim chance of having shortys here.

Her ballet teacher loves her legs! We are so excited, she has an appointment to get fitted for her pointe shoes tomorrow. She has worked especially hard this summer and has been working towards this goal since third grade. :clap_1:

Ballet! Such hard work, and such an achievement. Oh my poor toes hurt just thinking of it. Go Sam!

Amazing how kids can change so much in s ahort time. I saw my brohter-in-laws neice last weekend, and I see her 3 -4 x a year, and I walked right by her. :shock: The braces were offf, she was wearing contacts and some makeup (15 yrs) and fadish clothes. Not to mention she had grown in the chest too. I just saw her at Xmas, and she didn't look anything like that.

Congratulations on the pointe. So many quit before they make it to that point (no pun intended). I think I know how excited she must be and how proud you all must be too!
