Does it involve an open criminal investigation or is this the Andrews lawsuit?

Conducting public business on a private account is a no no. Hand em over!

This isn't anything new. He has been avoiding providing this info because of a land deal he wants for expansion of the state mansion grounds, among other things there are rumored to be going on.

He has a self serving agenda of some sort. Anyone who spends 70 million dollars of their own money to become Governor has something up their sleeve. He is not in it for public service or to do anything good for the State of Florida. Just another crooked wealthy politician trying to enrich himself.

Vote for Charlie Crist and watck Florida take another nosedive! I suggest you look at Scott's record as governor which beats Crist's by a mile. This is the last I will say about the upcoming election. I hope Scott win. Regardless of his supposed past, he has the state on the right track.

That is a matter of opinion, sorry, but I totally disagree.

Hmm and I thought the last nose dive was President Blackenstein's fault? Guess that just depends on the race you are trying to skew.

For the record, I think that Gov. Scott should follow the law. Sorry if you were offended by suggesting that the Obama administration also follow the law, my feeble attempt at injecting a little humor into the conversation. The president and his administration has ignored congressional subpoenas and the court has ruled that Obama broke the law in his NLRB appointments. Refusal to follow the law isn't a partisan issue.

JP I think my issue was the way you referred to the President. I am fine with your dislike of him, I don't like Gov. Scott or Rep Gaetz and I will post it. But I don't make it a habit to name calling which you and a few others are in a habit of doing. Whether I like them or not, they are our elected officials.

So all the Governors who were in office when the economy tanked should be held accountable for for the nosedive that occurred nationwide?

I'm sure there is absolutely no political motivation behind that move.
A politician telling you to trust them....

Who cares if his public emails are made private? If he wanted to do something nefarious, couldn't he just open a gmail account. (I'm aware public officials are obligated not to circumvent public disclosure. But, let's be realistic.) I say keep everything private unless there is a credible reason to investigate.

Actually it is a Gmail account that is at issue. There is also, supposedly, credible evidence that those private email accounts have been used to carry on State business.

Isn't that exactly what you'd want your politicians to do? So they can't use their political power to enrich themselves except by enriching the whole economy.

"Not so fast" as Lee Corso might say. According to the article the Florida Constitution requires that he list his assets.
"The Florida Constitution requires elected officials every year to make a “full and public disclosure” of their assets and liabilities “in excess of $1,000” so that the public can monitor any potential conflicts of interest." Tampabay.com
These tidbits of information can be gleaned when you read the article. When you as a politician hide and fight to keep your non government email accounts secret, you secretly negotiate with businesses tax breaks, and then don't want to list your assets in your blind trust, maybe you are enriching yourself. Unfortunately he does seem to have a history of hiding things in my opinion.

Yes, those poor, starving Dems. What a hoot.

Scott is a scumbag. Crist is a sleazebag. Yeah for choice.

The race for Florida governor remains a toss up as voters grapple with which candidate they dislike least, said a new poll released Wednesday. The Survey USA poll showed Democrat Charlie Crist with a 2-point lead over incumbent Republican Gov. Rick Scott, but both candidates are losing the favorability race.
Mr. Crist, a former Republican governor who turned Democrat, had a net favorability of minus 8. Mr. Scott scored a net favorability of minus 10, according to the poll, which was conducted for WFLA-TV in Tampa.
