well, I'm just venting here. surely we don't really need rules to tell us about common courtesy. disagree with one another? sure! have differing opinions? of course! tell it like it is as long as one is respectful and kind. life would be too boring to bear otherwise.

A forum is normally self regulating to some degree. Everyone here is polite usually but when you see something you don't like you should call them on it politely and respectfully. All of us need a little guidance every now and then. ;-)

If you aren't comfortable posting at them then maybe send a PM.

This forum is easy to run but there are a lot of catty women on here (not kitty) and I don't want to see a lot of behind the back stuff going on.

Someone called Smiley J a know it all jerk. And there were a couple numb nuts rambling on here and there. They are calling a cease fire. I like a little drama here and there. As long as it's not directed at me.

Actually, it probably started with me snapping on Diane4145, then yesterday, I put pattyw through the wringer, though I didn't mean to do that, so I apologized to her.

The other post from Lurker1 which I carried into a new thread so as not to further damage Pattyw, was just stating opinion, and I respect that, and had a laugh about it simultaneously. I don't think Lurker1 meant anything harmful. Heck, we all learn from one another, and I realize that I may often be to ready to jump with information in hand -- no big deal. I don't mean it in a jerky way, but I can understand if some people think that I think that I am "holyier than thou," even though I am not very religious. Whatever. I take everthing with a big bag of salt. As a kid, I wore Tough Skin jeans, from Sears. :funn: Seriously.

And while my butt may be cute, none of you would know because I don't recall showing it to any of you. HA! , even though I may appear as an @ss sometimes.

We all have our moments, and I was called out by Pattyw, and I rightfully apologized to her, and graciously, she accepted my appology.

specifically, no jumping from thread to thread to find (stalk) a member you want to bash (harrass), and then continue to do so repeatedly. it is just not a nice thing to do, it is unnecessary, and distracts from our real goals - share information, participate in stimulating conversation, get to know folks, and have some funn.

let's use some common courtesy.

Excuse me, I think so-called numb nuts have a right to ramble too as long as it's relevant to the thread and polite (and obeys Tootsie's 'new rule') I see lots of rambling (like I'm doing now )on this board by many regulars who are well liked.

Heck these 'numb nuts' may feel they are contributing too, even though it may not be viewed that way by some. As Kurt put it so well earlier, all of us need a little guidance now and then.

Just when a 'lurker' is about to come out of the shadows and throw out their 1st post, they fear they may be called a numb nut :shock: good grief! Just an observation with a little dose of healthy humor
