7 here! Mr bummett, myself and a few friends, all locals that are full timers. They have just been introduced to SoWal through me!

I think we all need to bring:

Adult beverage of your choice
beach chairs
if you want to cook out....bring your own weenies and weenie roasters, smores or what ever you want to eat
I am going to bring extra beach chairs if I can get Mr. bummett to load them up.
I have some beach tables I am bringing for us and maybe some tikki torches.

If any locals have a folding table they could bring, great, then we have a place for nosh anyone brings. Does anyone have a permit to drive on the beach?

Yes that is where we will come in, last time my guy set it up over to the left side of the entrance....but...I don't think you can miss it

That works. Wouldnt want to be toting beach chairs, coolers, boom boxes, food too long of a walk. What's up with the parking around around there?
From what I remember, there are a few spots East of the red bar. Where do people park? The it will be Saturday night and Red bar will have patronage as well, so are we gonna have parking issues there?

Maybe we can hitch a ride in the back of RO's truck, or at least put the coolers and chairs in. Some people will have a permit to drive on the beach.

True.dat. Never thought of the parking issue. We don't have a beach permit for our SUV. Another excuse to stay home and watch UF/AU? But I'd really like to see you all, even though hubby isn't too thrilled about it. I think he thinks I'm a psycho for making friends on a message board, although he did attend the spring break party and had a great time. He loved talking to Donna, you know, that brainiac-to-brainiac connection.

And, no, you're not invited to my house for various reasons. For one, we have a yet-to-be-determined number of GT students staying there for their fall break.

That's what I tought. :roll: I guess if someone is parked too far to trek with their stuff, they can always pull up and ask for help.;-)

I posed this quiery to a resident expert...hoping we could get Dread or Ramblers to play................... I didn't really think they would...but it could have been worth a try...and the said party replied they "liked the music of the beach"...can't argue with that one!!! Boom box with Bob marley or Buffet would be nice.
