It's been a while since we've talked about our pet peeves, and I think of new ones all the time. Today, it was..

Subway. (Trying to eat healthy). Man in front of me ordering 5 different sandwiches. Bless his heart, he had a list. Man orders 5 drinks too. I order my stuff. The sandwich makers get my stuff mixed up with his. Soooo, they have to unwrap all the sandwiches. :bang: THEN, this skinny wench comes in with 4 kids. BEFORE she even orders, she grabs 4 cups and those kids proceed to cut in front of the poor 5 sandwich man, who's now trying to get his 5 drinks. :bang: And, I'm still behind him. Now, I didn't care so much for myself, but that poor man! So that's my 2 pet peeves: food people who can't keep orders straight, and kids that have no manners!

People who crawl in the left lane on the interstate. I don't care if you are going the speedlimit-if somebody is behind you and wants to pass, GET THE HELL OVER INTO THE RIGHT LANE! Left lane for passing, right for cruising. Learn it, live it, love it:pissed:

:clap_1: :clap_1: :clap_1: Yep, I am with you! Those drivers cause wrecks.

My other driving peeve is not using on ramps correctly. Move over to let someone on the interstate. It is just being courteous.

About the slow drivers in the left hand lane--it drives me crazy too but I found out why some (okay, lots of) older drivers do it. Back when they were in their teens they were taught that yes, the left lane is the passing lane, but it's also the least-travelled lane. Therefore, if they wanted a more "relaxing" drive, the left lane was where they should drive. Less cars in the left lane to bother them.

I don't know if this is one of those urban legends or not, but when you think of it, it does make sense as to why some drivers refuse to budge out of the passing lane even when you're hot on their tailpipes.

my dad scares me to death when he drives and when someone is driving in the left lane like that he tailgates them horribly - he calls it sounding his chrome horn ????

1)Sport shoppers! Drive me crazy. They go in a store that's crowded and then walk around with an empty cart.

2) Going to a fine restaurant and someone brought their children. and they are not keeping an eye on them.
As Richard Jeni says: You don't see me going to Chucky Cheese with with my girls and a bottle of champagne!

Back when smoking was still allowed in most places, my late uncle would sit in smoking sections on purpose, even though he didn't smoke, thinking that children would not be in smoking sections of nice restaurants, especially on weekends. He liked children, but did not want to experience them while enjoying his martinis and dinner.

His backup "insurance" was the cigar that he always carried with him, and he would fire it up if parents dared sit in a smoking section with their children. The parents would usually asked to be moved away from the "bad cigar man" immediately. He was in the smoking section, so he was not breaking any rules.

Speaking of dyaing arts... I was thinking last night about music in the little 30a area. We were having dinner at the red bar and listening to jazz....we have all these acoustic folks... and people playing music in the area who are pretty good.

Yep, I don't go anymore because I always wind up in front of someone who kicks my chair, is smelly, or chatty.

When you're sitting in the last row of seats on an airplane with no room for the legs on your 5'2" body and the jerk in front of you just has to put his seat in the reclining position the WHOLE way.

On my way to work today I saw a Ford F250 pass on a two lane road, speed limit 45, with a school bus right in front of him with stop sign approaching and utility work going on. :bang: :bang: :bang: Then he waiting at the stop sign for at least 3 minutes because it is a very bad intersection to turn left at.

Regarding the left lane on the interstate...if I am going 80 in a 55 I don't care who wants to get in front of me! They can just slow down!

How do you think the 6'3" guy sitting in the chair in front of you feels since his knees are pretty much numb from the seat back now molded into his knee caps?

It is illegal in some states to have more than three kids share a bedroom in your house, but somehow it is legal for seats in a commercial airplane to fit a person who is 5'6" tall and weighs 135 lbs. I think something is wrong here. :idontno:

You know the drill, cram as many as you can inside. If I were that tall, I'd ask for the front or emergency row but still not sure how leaning the seat back makes room for somebody's legs. :idontno: And don't even get me started on how you buy everything around on your airline credit card for the "free miles" and then they double the miles requirement for all trips. OK, time to stick my head in the sand before I get too focused on pet peeves :floor:

How bout if I change my pet peeve to I don't understand why dog clothes designers don't design pet clothes to fit dogs who are narrow in the hips like Sunshine

If I don't include people's driving habits, I would say that in my top 10 of pet peeves, is someone leaving their grocery buggy blocking the isle as they aimlessly look at all the food on the shelves, without acknowledging the presence of other shoppers. :bang:
